Everything! Location is pretty much as close as you can get to Elafonissi beach (which is a protected natural area). The hotel and Taverna are family-owned which shows everywhere, from the warm, personal greeting you get from Maria , the grand-daughter-in-law, to the home cooked meals in the restaurant. All is beautifully updated, including solar and an EV charging station. We can’t recommend it highly enough!
Xasteria features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Elafonisi.

I liked the peiple, the property was ultra modern and very cosy. The hosts were so friendly and really just a nice experience. Restaurants close by walking and a market. 2 lakes and 2 beaches not to miss. Sunsets are amazing there.

Modern facilities with a near by shop. We loved how friendly everyone was here. We felt like a part of community. Amazing people! We miss them dearly.
Beautiful clear waters, mountains on one side, turquoise water on the other one.

The staff at kochilas was friendly and accommodating! The rooms are quaint and small but it's no problem because if you're booking a room near elafonisi beach, you probably will spend all of your time at the beach! I'd also recommend visiting white lake too.

Great location! Perfect for exploring Elafonisi beach. Small but we only stayed one night so perfect for us. The host was super helpful with our schedule… checking/checking out.
Elafonisi is the most overrated beach in Crete.
Super crowded. The sand is not pink. It's a normal sand. The beach resorts are expensive, usually they are full and the chairs are attached. On top of that, you need to walk 20 minutes to reach the sea.

Breathtaking natural lagoon which everyone is coming to enjoy. Get here before the buses arrive at 10 am or come after 4pm when buses leave otherwise I think it is too crowded. Consider staying overnight at Lafo Rooms.

Elafonisi Beach, with its unique pink sand, is undeniably stunning. However, during the day it can become extremely crowded, making it challenging to find sunbeds. Nevertheless, as the day transitions into evening, the beach becomes quiet, serene, and free from crowds, allowing you to fully appreciate its true beauty, especially during the magical moments just before sunset.

What a ZOO!!!
What a ZOO!!! It’s mid October and the place is still super crowded. Cannot even begin to imagine the crowds in July or August.
Crowds aside… it is an amazing place… beautiful, clear water.. great for young families. One can find a bit of privacy across the water on the spot.

A truly beautiful beach, the nicest I have visited in Crete...
A truly beautiful beach, the nicest I have visited in Crete so far. It is also a very valuable and protected natural site. The beach offers a very varied environment. There is classic seating on the shore under umbrellas and bars. Towards the sea you can enjoy the shallow beach and the sea waves. On the other side there is a quiet shallow lagoon with several islets and a sand spit connecting the coast with the island of Elafonisi. The lagoon is just a paddle away. If you go further, the other side of the island is again washed by the sea and there is also quite a nice snorkeling environment. Because of the size and ruggedness of the place, you can easily find a space for yourself. But there are a lot of people. There is little shade on the spot, so the more experienced ones will occupy the better spots first thing in the morning. It's good to have something to protect you from the sun. You have to go back to the beginning for drinks and toilets, so count on that. Plenty of space to park on site, just the last stretch is not a groomed road so watch your tyres.
It was very close to Elafonisi paradise beach, moreover the structure was surrounded by olive trees.
The room was comfortable, with all the provided tools such as phondryer and towels.
Wonderful the little terrace to have a rest.
The owner very gentle to leave us some breakfast solutions with soluble coffee, thè and something to eat.
The owner helped us even changing a not functioning bathroom light bulb, the day after the request.
Finally a tiny mini market can be found just under the structure as well as excellent restaurants nearby.
It was a very nice apartment - although rather small with no real kitchenette, it was extremely clean, quite modern, with good shower, good beds. The small place was designed very efficiently. The apartment is close to Elafonisi beach and to a real natural treasure - a small bay that looks like almost a lake. It is also very close to a great monastery. The cleaning lady was the most hospitable and told us about everything we could do and see.
Elafonisi village is a lovely accommodation designed in balance with the landscape around. Our room was spacious, renovated and clean. We had a beautiful patio with a sofas set with a view towards the sea and the sunset in front. So romantic in the evening! The restaurant has amazing view over Elafonisi. The people who run the place are so nice and made their best to accommodate our wishes. We loved it!
Perfect location, just a few minutes walk from the most beautiful beach of Crete. We had breakfast and diner in the restaurant managed by the hotel owners and were very satisfied as well, excellent food and very nice staff. The bedroom were spacious, comfortable bed, perfectly clean, quite … This is the place to go to enjoy Elafonisi beach at its best.
The room was very comfortable with outdoor chairs and a table. The location was great and allowed us to enjoy Elafonisi beach before and after the crowds arrived by bus. It was one block from a market which made it convenient. Coffee, tea, biscuits and a frig are provided. Parking is free and walking distance to 2 restaurants and the beach.
I had booked a small single room, but got upgraded to a triple room without additional charges. The room was simple, but large and clean, good value for the money I spent. The location is very convenient since it is 5 minutes away from Elafonisi beach by car. The host was very welcoming and helpful.
Couldn’t have found a better place to stay close to the marvel that is Elafonisi. The house had all the comforts and we were treated like v. i.p.’s (Crete has the nicest people!)
Do not miss this incredible place. And go explore the wonders all around gorgeous Elafonisi
We liked the location in an isolated part of Crete but a short drive to an amazing beach (Elafonisi). The house is airy, with nice sunsets and the sound of cicadas in the olive trees. Very relaxing. The wifi worked fine and the kitchen had what we needed.
Kind and smiling staff
We found coffee, tea and biscuits at arrival in the room, that was super clean and comfortable
Super close to Elafonisi beach, you don’t even have to pay the parking!
We made also 2 new cats friends♥️
Friendly, responsive host. Great base for a beach vacation. Close to many beaches, including Elafonisi. Lots of restaurants and markets nearby. Host has a folder of great local beach info. Star-gazing at night was wonderful!
We liked the location - very closed to the beach. The room/bathroom looked to be new - AC working very well. The view from the garden is amazing, full of fruits and flowers and an outdoor shower.
We had an upper room at the front of the property with a beautiful view to the coastline.
About a 5-10 minute drive to Elafonisi Beach. Elena was the perfect hostess.
Super clean, quiet, modern, and comfy room. Excellent restaurant. 5 min drive to beach or 10 min walk. Paradise. Most people day trip to elafonsisi beach….
The house was amazing, spacious, very clean, equipped with everything needed. It is located very close to Elafonisi beach, very close to the market as well.
