Nice and quiet, busiest time was for breakfast and it wasn't exactly busy.
Pool was very quiet in the day if you wanted to just read a book and chill.
Towels changed everyday.

Great pool, used every day. Bookshelf and space where you could leave things you don’t need for other guests like sunscreen. Had an authentic Greek night with food and dancing.

Lovely room, bug free hot and cold water. The Air Con was lovely and cold. It was quiet at night and only a 5 minute walk if that to the beach. The owner was polite and has been supportive throughout the stay. He even let me pay once I turned up as there was a problem with the bank transfer. I will be recommending this to everyone back at home

The warmth of the Zakynthians.
The warmth of the Zakynthians. The food and the easy-going relaxed atmosphere. Take some time to talk to the waiting staff, as well as the owners of the establishments. You’ll learn so much and begin to feel the place.
If I had to mention any negatives it would have to be the tourists who expect too much, too quickly and are surly and rude to the hosts.
Try Anatolikos Apartments Bar. It’s Al fresco and totally peaceful. Olga, Tina, George, Yota and Adonis will make you feel right at home. Try No Name Bar or Hakuna Matata Bar or Paradisio or the Palm Tree. All are so welcoming and friendly. The Apoll Taverna is excellent and Jani, Angela, Haris, Kiki and all are too much fun. Our go to place. Fishalida is also excellent. Always recognised from previous years and always warmly welcomed. Your meal with the sea and views of Kefalonia are a must do. Whispers Bar for a drink and dance and grand traditional music playing, live. Nikos is a skilled host for whom nothing is too much trouble.

This village has grown considerably over the last 30 years.
This village has grown considerably over the last 30 years. To a purist this might not be the best thing but the people are every bit as friendly as ever. Plenty of restaurants and taverns. It’s up to the individual to find the attractions but they are all advertised and within easy reach.

Superb area.
Superb area. Not so pricey as laganas, quiter also, but many possibilities to eat and drink. We came here for the fifth time. We switched the alykes to agios sostis during this summer and are very disapointed. Maybe kalamaki could be better then alykes/alikanas, but we didnt stay in kalamaki so could not say (maybe next year). There are also some hilly climbings, you can do with a quad.

Quiet location.Ideal for a chill out holiday.
Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from
.Our favourites were Spikey's Bar for drinks.
Piccadilly,Koukounari,Hotel Asteria and Al Fresco for food.
Alykes is quite small, only one long street,so quite easy to get around.
Car and four by fours are very popular and there are plenty of hire companies.Driving can be adrenalin inducing,as the drivers tend to ignore centre lines and the cars do not appear to be equipped with indicators.

Well located if you have a car, all places up north are at less than 30 minutes away. Zakinthos town is just a 15 minute drive away and the south an extra 15 min after Zakinthos.
It has a very holiday village feel to it, full of brits, Dutch, polish and the average visitors age must be around 50-60 yo. So there are lots of options but at the same time it’s pretty laid back and quiet.
We ate in taverna Astoria which was fantastic and cheap (40 euros for 2 with beers, starter and main). Also had a gyro at the main grill shop, can’t remember the name but you can’t miss it when you’re in town (15 euros for both for giant pita gyros and drinks).
On the main road there is also a guy selling boat tours, we took a 4 hour boat ride to the shipwreck beach, caves and 3 stops for swims in turquoise waters, it was the highlight of our stay and one of our best holiday memories. The boat was pretty small compared to other huge vessels with 200 tourists on it that we saw passing by, our one had around 30 people, the crew was very nice and this only cost us 25 euros per head. Need to book at least one day prior to the trip.
We liked everything, the property itself, the view, the location was a quiet one and also not far from restaurants or other touristic places + beach, no more than 3 min walk and the owner , Panos, always there to help you 👏🏻; I need to tell also about Maria ( the one that cleaned our room ) , she was also very friendly and that she really respects her job and understands the importance of a clean space. Me & my boyfriend, we highly recommend this place and next time we’ll stay there again for sure 👏🏻🙏🏻
The view of the sunset and the beach is promising and outstanding. The place is perfect and the atmosphere is very cozy and homey. The place is a super spot and by car you can visit every place of Zakynthos within 25-50 minute. If you walk 10 minutes you will find restaurants and supermarkets. The appartments are very beautiful, clean and have everything you need. The host was very kind and and helpful. It was one of the best experiences. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend this place.
Absolutely LOVED our stay here. The apartment was very big for the two of us, super clean great wifi (was able to work remotely here & stream) and the hosts were delightful and friendly. The location is the best part, you are just a few steps away from a lovely beach and right next to all the shops you can think of and many yummy restaurants to choose from. Definitely recommend heading over to Pitta Break for some delicious and cheap gyros - literally 2-3 minutes walk from the accommodation :)
Very nice location in a quiet area. The view from the room was beautiful. You could see the swimming pool as well as the sea and the city of Alykes. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was big and comfortable for 4 people and had everything we needed. Even though it is located in a small village there is a small super market close by with a variety of products in case you want to buy things for the room as well as a mini mart right across from the place were you can buy snacks.
We only had one night in Zakinthos and Piccadilly was the perfect choice. The owner Petros and his wife were extremely helpful, spending time to book us a pivate boat trip to Nanagio beach and the blue caves. The pilote, Yanni was friendly and we felt safe and relax. The place is very quiet, 2 minutes walk to the beach. Food is excellent and will satisfy someone with big appetite as portions are huge. I woke up early to see the sunrise and it was a beautiful moment.
The restaurant in the garden is wonderful, we had really nice evenings there and the food is good.
The staff is great, helpful, friendly.
The location of the hotel is very good, it's a 5-10min walk from an animated area of Alykes, family friendly, with restaurants and a nice beach. 20-30min drive from key attractions.
The pool at the hotel is really nice and we enjoyed spending some time there after at day at the beach or on the sea.
We stayed at the bungalows and we really loved the location, the size of the rooms, the cleanliness. Furthermore the hospitality from Irini and her parents were great and made us feel at home. The sheets and towels were changed every two days and the villa was sparklingly clean.
It is also a great starting point for trips around the island - everything is within 30-40 minutes ride, also the local beach is perfect for kids!
The Monte blu is in an ideal location in-between Alykes and Alykanas overlookingthe beautiful river and also have a sea view, it is an exceptionally clean apartment with bedding and towels changed every 3 days, ideal for a lovely holiday, would definitely recommend and will definitely be booking up again. Brilliant stay.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards Sharon David Harvey
Pros.
Nice outdoor space, the yard included the pool, a big barbecue space. We were surprised to find 3 friendly cats and one hen which we fed daily. The AC in the rooms were powerful and they immediately cooled the air. Also, nice view from the rooms.
It was near the beach and the host let us check in faster (without an extra charge).
Location was excellent. The balcony is literally on the beach with amazing sunrise and sea views. An excellent supermarket and bakery is within a few meters at the front of the property plus various restaurants and bars. Sunbeds at the property are the best on Alykes beach. Throughly recommended for a relaxing beach holiday.
Perfect location, from the hotel yard to sandy beach and sea is zero meters, just great! There is a beach bar next to you and very nice grill restaurant in a minute walk.
Anastasia and Ianis are very friendly people who try to help you whatever you need.
Great location in a great family beach town. Had most basic amenities. Parking is included but the best thing is it’s a short walk to the beach. We loved it and would definitely stay again.
The bedroom is big, we were in 2 but there was also a third bed inside. We also have balcon with sea view! There was a small kitchen with fridge, toaster, kettle! The staff was very kind!
Everything was great. Very nice hotel, big pools, great view. Good food. And what most important - very friendly staff, they made us feel at home. Thank you for the great stay!
A beach front property with a pool and well set back garden including BBQ setup. Host Dimitri, was always very friendly and available to accommodate with our requests.
