Yarm is a lovely, historic town - a delight in it's own right, with many very good restaurants and welcoming pubs. The cobbled streets, viaduct and bridge over the tees have some nice walks too - very picturesque. Yarm is also very well located for the North York moors and the beautiful seaside towns of Saltburn and Whitby as well as Mount Grace Priory and Fountains Abbey.

Yarm is a charming town with a beautiful riverside to walk along and very interesting architecture - especially the viaduct. Local shops were varied and some great cafe's and restaurants. Great place to stay for a solo traveler. Other interesting places to visit are situated close by - suitable for lone travelers, couples and families. Local people very friendly and helpful.

We always like coming to Yarm as the High Street is so varied and interesting. It is situated like an oasis in a quite busy region that offers something for everyone. We visited the coast as well as stopping off at other towns & villages and we very much enjoyed the whole experience.

Room comfortable, but not spacious. Meals excellent.
Room comfortable, but not spacious. Meals excellent. Friendly and helpful staff.
Were not impressed that the full cost of the stay was taken from our account on the day of booking, even though it was some time ahead of our stay. It is the only time when booking any hotel on line that this has happened.

A delightful town that has obviously taken care to keep its character - there's a distinct absence of big name shops. Plenty of placed to eat, with a wide choice of styles. The main street is very wide and so we found parking to be easy; the space between the footpaths and the carriageway is sufficient for four lines of cars all the way along the long main street. The impressive railway viaduct which runs along the back of the buildings on one side of the town is worth a look, although we found it difficult to get far enough away to appreciate the full length. Even if you are not a railway or viaduct fan, it's difficult not to be impressed with the scale of the structure. As a variation to counting sheep to get to sleep, try calculating the number of bricks that are embedded in its arches!
The cottage is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained. In a wonderful setting.in a very quiet location just steps from the High Street with all of the wonderful shops, restaurants and pubs. It is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and very cozy. Incredibly clean and comfortable. The property owner, helen, who we corresponded with electronically could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again when we visit yarm and give this property our highest recommendation, without hesitation!
the owner John was quick to communicate the details of the location of his property, how to get there and how to gain access. all very easy. upon entry the apartment has a wow factor, it’s immaculately clean and decorated very nicely. the location is just off the high street and just a 2 minute walk from most points of interest within Yarm. overall it was excellent and I’ll certainly stay again next time I’m in the area.
We stayed in The Woodstore, had an amazing night with the luxury of the hot tub, gorgeous room and facilities. Beautiful views and the staff were lovely, so inviting and helpful. Located in a lovely area, only an 8 minute taxi ride into Yarm. I would definitely recommend, the price for the rooms are amazing and I will definitely stay again. It was a lovely break away. Thank you x
perfect location
situated on Yarm high Street amongst plenty of pubs and restaurants
even though high street noisy at night you couldn’t hear the hustle and bustle
very quiet in room
we arrived early and the owners were very accommodating they let us leave our luggage in room and gave us our key
which was great so we could get on with our day
would definitely recommend
Fabulous location in the centre of Yarm; beautiful cottage in excellent condition. Nice and snug for the two of us, but plenty of space for our daughter to visit to share a meal and some board games!
Superb accommodation, spotlessly clean, well appointed, fantastic breakfast, secure parking and a great host. Nice and quiet but only a few minutes from Yarm with plenty of bars and restaurants.
Bedroom was too light so you woke when the sun woke. Staff were poor. Hotel was short staffed. Dinner very poor - service and food. Service very slow and not good. Food dramatically overpriced.
Beautifully furnished apartment and walking distance of the centre of Yarm but quiet and secluded.
John had thought of everything in the accommodation and he couldn’t do enough for us!
The location was beautiful. The town of yarm is lovely and the guest house owners were really accommodating. We had a lovely time and would definitely come back.
The decor was beautiful, very well designed. Everything you needed was available and the location to the shops, bars and restaurants in Yarm was perfect.
