Just off the M4 Wokingham is a convenient base to explore both Thames Valley and events at Ascot Racecourse. Places like Henley on Thames and Windsor are easily accessible by road and hotels tend to charge much less. It is also a good jumping off area to London, so attracts visitors from continent who cannot afford / do not want to stay in Central London. With fast Elizabeth line service to London from nearby Twyford this is a good base and the railway connection from nearby Reading means a day trip to Bath is very easy.
Located at a walking distance from Wokingham centre, the Emmbrook Inn is a charming and pleasant little hotel with big rooms, a nice adjacent pub, and while I was too busy to skip the breakfast, from what I saw while checking out, the pub might be worth going back to for lunch or dinner next time I'm in town.
The afternoon shift staff member who managed to change our room to something a little better after we asked him to refund our money so we could leave. He at least understood that we were not happy
The hotel is well located if you have things to do in the local area
Everything was perfect , the room so clean and comfortable, the breakfast freshly cooked and very tasty ! lots of choice . Nancy was a perfect host , in fact you feel like you are staying with family . We would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area .
The staff were friendly and the setting is beautiful. The park itself is secure with fobs for electric gates given to guests to allow access. Parking is good and the play area is wonderful.
