We were given a free upgrade to a lovely spacious room with a sea view, which was very welcome as out dogs were staying too!. The bar was great and the restaurant was excellent. We could walk the dogs along the promenade and along the Fishermans walk boarded walkway in the morning and the evening.

Room was lovely - large superior room - breakfast was good.

Room was lovely - large superior room - breakfast was good. Very impersonal self check in and didn't meet owner/manager. Parking was outside on the road. Lamlash was good to eat in the evenings - Drift Inn and Pier Head Tavern - both recommended.

Whiting Bay is a lovely small village.

Whiting Bay is a lovely small village. It is right on the sea with a lovely beach. There is a big playing field with an area that has swings and climbing frames and a round a bout. There are plenty of walks around. A nice golf course too.

Nice, comfortable B&B. Size of the room and seaview perfect.

Nice, comfortable B&B. Size of the room and seaview perfect. Unfortunatelly no restaurant although it was indicated there was one. So had to drive to find one and it's advisable to book in advance to be sure to have a table.

Much quieter and more relaxed than other Towns in Arran.

Much quieter and more relaxed than other Towns in Arran. Glenashdale falls and the Giants Graves are well worth a visit - lovely walks in the area, with very few cars racing past day and night. Lovely, peaceful, beautiful scenery and a great restaurant at the Burlington too - highly recommended.

The location is peaceful and relaxing, with small quaint shops overcharging for the normal things that tourists might buy, very friendly locals too and the B&B we stayed in was lovely. The roads however, seem to built and maintained by rally enthusiasts, the fact that the narrow road leading to Seal Shore is not only incredibly steep (with massive amounts of undulation) but it also has numerous hairpin bends and massive drops on the left side, a few minutes into the trip and it suddenly makes sense why every other vehicle on the ferry over there is an SUV! The island may as well be sponsored by Land Rover, or failing that, the Subaru rally team. It is a nice little island though,10/10. I would probably risk death again to visit for a few days, but this time, im renting a Land Rover, and having a very light lunch...
