The family who run the hotel are so welcoming and friendly. They were really good at keeping in touch before and during our stay and answering our questions.
The breakfast was ample, we had cereal, yogurt and fruit and a pot of coffee. We didn't choose the cooked breakfast as we were eating later.
It was only about 15 minutes walk out of town.it was easy to catch busses and ferries. Absolutely perfect for what we wanted.
We had the seperate annex room at the front. It was quiet and private. Great stay. Thank you

If you are looking for a quiet location, quite rural, great breakfast, clean comfortable rooms and good fresh cooked evening meals, then The Waterman’s would be a good choice. There is free car parking and you are about 3 miles from Totnes town centre. Lovely hosts and the Sunday roast is well worth considering.

I just love the historic buildings in Totnes and always find myself visiting Totnes when in the UK. It's always enchanting to go back in time and wonderful that the English heritage is preserved.
We met up with my cousin and his wife for lunch on my birthday in the town and had a delicious tea & cake before that at a church it was a wonderful place.

Totnes is lovely if you enjoy popping into lots of little shops and cafes. The weekend markets are always worth a visit. If you prefer quieter days, there’s lots of local towns to travel too with quaint tea rooms and castles! If you’re a beach goer, Paignton is about 20th minutes or lots of other lovely bleachers around 30 minutes drive.

Totnes has a laid back atmosphere that buzzes during the day. The town feels very safe. The best way to enjoy this stunning town is to park the car and forget about it. Everything is walkable.
Don’t miss the unique shops and eateries. Have lunch on the stunning terrace at The Steam Packet Inn. Avoid the main street at busy traffic times.

Totnes is great for relaxing and absorbing the atmosphere of an old town. The castle is well worth a visit and walks along the river each way are beautiful - really recommend the walk up to Dartington Hall. It's a safe and well appointed, well connected town - great for a weekend trip!

A charming friendly pub with beautifully appointed rooms - small but cosy with all facilities. Lovely bed linen. Fantastic food. Very friendly staff which made one feel so welcome. Live music was a bonus. Although I asked for parking a space wasn't kept and we were just lucky to get a space when a car left. Many were parked on the road. A very popular pub in a lovely location and close to south Devon beaches.
I have stayed here before. Its location was ideal. A slightly old-fashioned hotel (and none the worse for that), close to Totnes station and in the heart of the town, 50 metres from the Dart with its wonderful riverbank walks. The hotel has a nice (St Austell's) pub. Good breakfasts (especially if you want cooked English breakfasts), good food in general.
Lovely location. So much better than a hotel. Quiet at night and only 15 minutes from Totnes, pretty much a straight shot too. Beds were so comfy, great tele, well equipped kitchen, and the third floor bedroom with it’s ensuite is just luxurious. We are coming back.
Lovely spacious studio. Bright, airy and clean. Easy walk to Totnes town. So a great location and also nice & quiet at night. Nice outside seating area for a warm day, which we sadly didn't have time to use. Private entrance & a view into the garden.
The location is great, the hotel and its gardens very pretty, breakfast was delicious and the hostess is brilliant at what she does. If we visited Totnes again, we’d definitely re-visit this hotel.
