We stayed for only one night, but it was great! Very polite and helpful staff! The hotel is beautiful and in a very good location. Room was not huge (but we definitely did not need more than that!), but very clean and had a really confortable bed! Would definitely stay again!

I used to live in Swindon and there are parts to avoid, ann the bottom of town isn't what it used to be, but for a great night out, there is Old Town. For country walks there is Lydiard Park and Coate Water. The surrounding villages and towns and close to the Cotswolds, Swindon is great for a central point

MacArthur Glenn outlet was good. Homesense too
Swindon has too many terrible drivers, who drive too fast & too close. There need to be traffic calming measures & more traffic lights.
Terrible, inconsiderate drivers can't be trusted to obey rules & use roundabouts properly.

The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations.
The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and fully equipped. The only negative was the bed was slightly smaller than a double which was a shame as a king size would have easily fitted.

There are some lovely parks in Swindon that if you are staying for leisure are worth a visit; Coate Water near junction 15 of M4; Lydiard Park near junction 16.
The Town centre isn’t much to write home about, but a visit to the Great Western Train Village and Museum is very worthwhile. There is also a Macarther Glenn designer, Outlet Centre that is easy to get to with ample parking. At the outlet centre, we enjoy eating at Wagamama's. If you venture over to Greenridge, there is a Fiesta de Cuba restaurant. The meals are great and the price is very reasonable. We find just having a main is ample. It’s our favourite restaurant. Swindon has great transport links to reach surrounding areas; Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Chippenham are all within shouting distance.

East access to nearby attractions, the M4 and major roads.
East access to nearby attractions, the M4 and major roads. The town itself, both the Old- & and New-town, is a little faded and run down in parts but overall fairly vibrant. Very good range of restaurants to suit most tastes. The pubs I visited were all warm and friendly with decent beer. Never any problems walking around the well signposted town daytime and evening. Overall a surprisingly interesting place surrounded by outstanding areas such as the Cotswolds, the Marlborough Downs and several classical English villages
The room was spotless, modern and well equipped. There was a hair dryer, kettle and USB sockets which were useful. There was music downstairs until 3am (Saturday) but we were out until then anyway. However that is worth keeping in mind if you want an early night. Breakfast was very tasty, you pre select it the day before and the choice was good. The location was perfect for Swindon old town with plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants nearby
Cosy is in a great area between the town centre and Old Town .Its nice and quiet and there is a lovely pub at the end of the road plus lots of Restaurants near by .Nice big bathroom and bed room and everything you need in the Kitchen and plenty of options for the TV .Full central heating and even a wood burner and easy parking
beautiful countryside location but within 10 minutes from swindon . staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Anna on reception made checking in and out a breeze . our room was newly refurbished and was much bigger than expected. The whole hotel was spotless.
Myself and two teenage sons had a twin room with extra single bed. Lots of space and still able to use the table and chairs for cards etc. Swimming pool and facilities were perfect. Far better than most hotels in Swindon I've stayed at.
Excellent all round! Lots of parking spaces, easy to check in, good size room well decorated and clean, comfy beds, tea/coffee facilities, clean bathroom with powerful shower. All in all an great stay. Well done Village Hotel Swindon.
Finding a farmhouse in the centre of Swindon with ample parking, spacious room and friendly staff. A pleasant change from cheap hotel chains but at excellent price. The breakfast was awesome.
The hotel and restaurant staff were exceptional. Very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Additionally, the rooms were great and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious.
They sorted out our wishes for a lower floor room and our evening meal choices but we felt we shouldn't have had to ask as the hotel was advertised as an evening restaurant
Bed was very basic and a bit uncomfortable. Hotel had a smell in it couldn’t tell you what it was. Room needed some maintenance, holes in curtain, a little scruffy.
It’s a perfect location for my stay in Swindon, as it’s close to office. The rooms are nicely renovated, I like the colorful design. The breakfast was very good.
