Perfect for families, friends, business and couples.

Perfect for families, friends, business and couples. So much to do around the area. Local tescos, aldi, halfords, b&m, mc Donald's, Gregg's, and other big named shops. Also there is a retail mall about 10 min drive away. Beautiful area with gorgeous trees and scenery. Local to alton towers and a mile down the road is monkey forest, the uks only place where you can walk amongst 140 monkeys. A must visit!

We came for the potteries but unfortunately didn't book ahead so didn't realise it wasn't open till the Wednesday so missed it. Also couldn't get into Emma Bridgewaters so only did the wedgewood. But the hotel was excellent, the Upper House so will be coming back.

We went to Alton Towers which was great but extremely expensive and very crowded so only managed 3 rides, due to the queing times. Didn't really see much more of Stoke apart from our hotel, which was very nice.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

    My husband chose the holiday.

My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.

From the moment we arrived, staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The room, the bedding and towels etc. were absolutely spotless. Everything smelled clean, fresh and sanitized. The meal times were a buffet-type affair (understandable, given the current restrictions) but the choice was acceptable and we found everything to be fresh - a little more choice for vegetarians would be good. You can tell that this hotel would have been lovely and grand in the past and it has some really stunning features and function rooms.

A very spacious flat (especially the bathroom!), clean, with a well-equipped functional kitchen, and comfy large bed. In a quiet though run-down looking street, it's a convenient 10-*minute walk from the Stoke rail station, and about the same time to a couple of supermarkets. The flat is upstairs in an old building, but it has been refurbished to a generally good standard... not 'flash' but cosy and homely. We'd readily stay here again if ever back in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is not a hotel it is a terrorist house in a slum area of Stoke to get in you have to get a key from a lock with a combination! The room was small and the bedding was dirty. There was not breakfast as advertised! We complained and was that it was fine we refused to stay there and booked into a proper hotel and was told that we would not be refunded! Extremely unhappy do not book unless you like to stay in a slum area

Lovely hotel with the view of the Stoke stadium. Right off the motorway and about 35 minutes from Alton towers. Value for money and convenient for a nights stay. Due to covid the breakfast was served in packaging and the hot breakfast was simply a sausage/egg/bacon muffin. So no cooked English breakfast. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Hotel is in a really good location for rail travellers, directly opposite the main entrance to the station. The room price was quite cheap and a buffet breakfast was available for an add-on of £7.50, which is reasonable value, and there was a reasonable supply of tea and coffee in the room.

All of the ceramic touches made it uniquely a hotel in Stoke-on-Trent. We loved the availability of all of the ceramic picture books and the molds and vases and pottery used in the Lobby decor. That was a highlight.
