Even though it was next to the m1, we could not tell. The rooms were dark and quiet. The staff were fab and attentive, the rooms comfy and the food great!

Breakfast was good but the first table we were shown to had food on the seat so we had to ask for another. The room was in the old part of the hotel. Good size, comfortable bed but the smoke detector was positioned directly above the bed with a light flashing every 10 seconds which impaired my sleep. Had to cover my eyes to sleep.
This was room 9, Goodwood. We have stayed in the modern part before which is far better. Shower good but mirror above dressing table was positioned high up with poor lighting. Only 1 bedside light and no ac although there was a fan.
Only stayed for 1 night so didn't get to know staveley it's...
Only stayed for 1 night so didn't get to know staveley it's self,we went to Hardwick Hall which is National Trust property.Old Rectory is grade 2 listed but they've incorporated old and new which we liked
Great breakfast, nice room, very comfortable bed, hosts very helpful, we booked the guest house as we were going to a music gig in Sheffield and could not get any accommodation in sheffield, [fully booked up hotels] however it was no problem, as we booked a local Taxi company [Door 2 Door Taxis] who were excellent and turned up on time for both journeys.
Nice family run hotel in a handy location for pubs and supermarket. Briony is lovely and chatty. She was really helpful. When things were wrong she got them fixed quickly. The shower wasn't working and by the time we got back that evening a new one was installed. The breakfast was brilliant. The rooms clean and the beds comfy.
Everything was superb and much better than most of the hotel chain. The room superb, the owners were so lovely and the breakfast was excellent. The best place we have stopped in . Thanks
