Flodigarry Hotel and SKYE Restaurant, hotel in Staffin

On the Isle of Skye, Flodigarry Hotel and High Tide Restaurant offers accommodation in a country house sitting on a hill and offering sea views towards the Torridons and Scottish mainland.

Long late drive from Glasgow and when I arrived at 9.30 the kitchen was closed. The manager went out his way and got the chef to make me some food. Was very much appreciated after a long day.

Stones Luxury B&B with hot tub and self-contained rooms, hotel in Staffin

Set in Uig and only 46 km from Dunvegan Castle, Stones Luxury B&B with hot tub and self-contained rooms offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Everything was pure luxury. The amount of food and drink in your room (replenished daily) is not something I've experienced before. The hot tub is awesome and the room is huge. The host also went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day went as planned and comped us a nice bottle of prosecco as a gift! Thanks again, we will be back. P.s. I have over 50 reviews on booking.com and this is the first time I've given a 10!

The Rosedale Hotel & Restaurant, hotel in Staffin

Set in a converted cluster of fisherman’s houses along Portree Harbour the hotel offers plenty of character and quirks. There are 17 en-suite bedrooms with all expected facilities.

Bedrooms could do with an update/upgrade, being as you're paying the higher end of hotel prices.Having said that it was extremely clean, with lovely bedding and white fluffy towels. Food in the restaurant was excellent, location superb. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

    Staffing is an amazing place.

Staffing is an amazing place. Lots of walks, views, nature and activities. A tiny dinosaur’s museum at just 5’ away. Just around the corner of the beach and waterfalls. Great views from outside the house and good internet.

The area around Staffin is so beautiful.

The area around Staffin is so beautiful. Very secluded so you do need a car. It’s very close to the Quiriang for hiking or just checking out the beautiful vistas. We used this as our home base for Isle of Skye and everything on Skye is easily accessible from the Staffin area. Things are all close distance wise, but driving is slow on the narrow roads so will take longer than you think and Apple Maps actually did a very good job at predicting the time for a journey. The roads were better than we expected but do keep an eye out for potholes! We cooked our meals but Portree has lots of options for restaurants and groceries. Staffin itself has a small convenience store and cafe with friendly staff.

While at Staffin we drove and/or walked to many of the local and nearby areas and points-of-interest. No matter what we found the views unique and worth the effort, and, the people extraordinarily welcoming, helpful and happy to answer our questions about the town and its history. Being near the ocean the roads, hills and sidewalks offered very walkable options for our outdoor sojourns — just be sure to dress in layers as the wind can quickly change to feel of the day.

Not very much to do here as most everything is closed other than a Spar shop and takeaway, quite dissapointed to be honest as there are quite a few B&B's in the area with not a lot of choice for eating dinner etc, other than a hotel which charged me 50% of my B&B stay for dinner, ridiculous in my opinion.......will never be back

I dragged my partner up to Staffin to hunt for dinosaur footprints - and we found some! Sadly the dinosaur museum was shut when we were there, but we've added it to our list for when we go back... We also checked out the castles in the area. Really lovely scenery - you can see the Old Man of Storr nearby which would be perfect for keen walkers...

What a wonderful property it is ...100%happy

What a wonderful property it is ...100%happy We stay there and everything there is more than enough for any one . This is a very charming home with all the characters..even the indoor plants have a wow factor. I would definitely recommend this ...living there was such a pleasure There is a beach within a walking distance and its feel like very private ...no many people just one or 2 . There is plenty to enjoy ...walking hiking and climbing . We went to fairy pools so don't forget to get some midges spray :)and recommend good hiking shoes. Old man of Storr is another place where tou can go ...even just sitting in the garden or conservatory is a magical experience. Definitely recommend and wants to go back and stay more just to enjoy my walks to the beach ⛱

The home was very easy to find in Staffin as there was signage starting at the main road. The room was large and included a small sitting area for eating, a mini-fridge with fresh milk, and a lovely tea set up. We had plenty of room for our luggage and the en-suite bathroom was clean and convenient. The bed was large and comfy and we felt right at home! The breakfast was delicious and served in a fantastic room with views of the ocean and the dramatic landscape of Skye. We would definitely stay here again!

What did we like? Everything! The rooms, kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, beds comfortable, rooms well maintained and spacious with 2 ensuites. The view was fantastic from the living room and kitchen. Parking is more than enough for 3 cars. Ben, the property manager was very helpful, professional, friendly and went out of his way when we asked for colouring pencils for the children. I will book the Taste of the Sea property when visiting the Isle of Skye again. Can't praise it enough.

Check in was easy, with a warm welcome and easy parking. There are only three rooms meaning the stay is comfortable and quiet. The breakfast will leave you very full for the rest of the day with fresh berries, eggs and salmon available. The rooms are lovely and clean, with nice touches and beautiful views over Staffin and the Quiraing Mountains. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Skye.

Loved our stay at Benview! The location was beautiful and a short drive to many of the must see/do things on the Isle of Skye. The room and bathroom was a great size and very clean! The owner was accommodating and friendly. The options for breakfast in the morning were great and very tasty. We had both the full Scottish and porridge. Definitely recommend a stay here if visiting!

The location was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful landscape. The food in the restaurant was the best food we had in Scotland during our vacation. Delicious and beautifully presented. Nicole was amazing. She was so nice and helpful, not only with the hotel and restaurant but helping us find stunning hikes in the area. Thanks for everything Nicole!

The house is very comfortable, on 2 floors, with private parking. It is well located for hiking in the Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, or Fairy Glen, beautiful places, but is a bit far from other places to discover on the Isle of Skye, such as Fairy Pools or Nest point.

A fantastic little cottage just off Staffin bay, a log fire that the owners supplied the fuel for, they were very helpful and also left 2 beers and buiscuits and chews for the dog, we arrived early but was no problem.
