Was only there for one evening. Drove in the short distance to buy an evening meal at Wetherspoons. Driving out noted sainsbury's and Lidl. Needed a few bits in the morning so purchased from there as leaving. Friendly place. Pubs, food outlets and supermarkets in very small centre.

We went for the newly revived Flower Parade that was fun and quaint in a way that only the British can manage - delightful. Any other time Spalding would be a very average town with nothing special to recommend it unless the location fits your needs

Spalding is a quiet little market town with most of the basic things you need - it's best to stay close to the centre as everything closes early.
The surrounding countryside is lovely (as with most places in Lincolnshire) - there's a Water Taxi (though I haven't used it yet) which takes you from one end of the town to the next.
It's mostly clean (compared to the big cities anyway) and the people are friendly (though some locals beg to differ...)

the hotel is fantastic, it was very easy to get the key from outside. We arrived around 12am so there was no one around, but we called the receptionist in the afternoon and she told us how to get the keys. Everything was ok. The room was very nice, the bathroom was amazing. In the morning we spoke to two ladies both very friendly, we had a very good English breakfast at 9.40 and the kitchen closed at 10am so all the staff was very available.
Convenient for access to Spalding Town centre and roads to other areas. Viv the owner made ever effort to make our stay comfortable even though she was not expecting us. She even had to arrange different accommodation for the first night as Booking.com had made a mistake by not telling us the Guest House was supposed to be closed. Excellent from the guest house but bad from Booking.com.
We stayed for one night but wish our break could have been longer. Loved the room - huge! - and the building itself. the breakfast selection was fabulous, and the location perfect for what we needed. The staff were super helpful and friendly too. If we are ever back in Spalding, we will not hesitate a moment to book a room here again. A 10/10.
The place is very clean, and modern, had everything we needed to feel at home. The communication was great and super easy and the host was very hospitable. The whole place made us feel at ease. The neighbourhood is very conveniently located, near shops and a children 's park close by. Would absolutely recommend staying there when in Spalding.
breakfast was very good we also had evening meal which was also very good large room large comfortable bed very clean room very nice owners and staff could not be more helpful or pleasant most enjoyable stay at this hotel can fully recommend we were both more than happy with our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again many thanks
The hotel was located in a good position for where we needed to be. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was extremely comfortable. I requested a low floor with walk in shower due to my wife recently having a new hip fitted, this was granted. There was enough tea, coffee and milk. Receptionist was very polite and helpful when booking in.
The hotel room was perfect for us, staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. A quiet evening sat by the river made it extra romantic while the bar meal was the cherry on too. Perfect food, perfect hospitality and a perfect break away. Looking forward to another visit
A beautiful hotel with high-ceilinged, almost palatial and very comfortable rooms, and classy facilities all through. The shower was excellent and the lady proprietor very helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast (except the bacon!) Easy parking. Highly recommended.
Great hotel, in the middle of Spalding. We booked as we were going to an event at Springfields. Very spacious room, extremely friendly staff and very warm welcome when we arrived, and a great breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely hotel. Sasha the manager is lovely, warm, friendly and welcoming. Room was bright, very clean and comfortable. Bed was great. Breakfast was excellent. Both Michelle my wife and I had a great stay and will definitely stay again.
Wonderful hotel with plenty of space in the rooms. Near major roads going all directions but far enough away that noise wan't an issue. Friendly attentive staff. Lovely indoor pool area. Enormous comfy bed and gigantic balcony.
Clean and comfortable. Landlady very helpful as we booked last minute because our first choice of hotel didn't exist. It states no parking but there is free street parking all around.
