The architecture of the hotel is amazing
Olivia at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. Great outdoor sitting area too with parking on site. The hotel has great potential even though Southport is known for a more senior majority clientele. The location is absolutely amazing, in the heart of Southport on Lord.St and short walking distance to kings garden. Lots of shops around, supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants very close to the hotel .

I had a close family member admitted to Southport and Formby Hospital and needed a hotel as close as possible and for an indefinite period. Debbie and Ken who run the Talbot could not have been more helpful. I had everything I needed. The hotel was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for more.

There seems to be more eating/bar places opening up along lord street which is good because it was starting to look empty. More shops would be good and maybe longer opening hours for some that holiday makers like to browse in.
The biggest downfall for us is the pier having closed down and I am sure a lot of people must think the same because it was always busy with people walking the length of the pier and this really does put us off going as often as we would have done.
I would not like to walk along lord street on my own after the majority of shops close because it can be a bit intimidating when the doorways start to be taken over with sleeping bags and duvets etc.
We have stayed in the Waterfront hotel but not since all the building works started all around it and such a shame the big Hungry Horse there closed down. So finally Southport is not as appealing as it used to be at the moment and fingers crossed it will improve quickly.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and variety of shops within the town. Lots of lovely little arcades and side streets as well as many big known brands and some independent shops. We loved the old buildings and the walk around the pleasure lake. We were only there for the weekend and could have spent a lot longer exploring. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops to chose from. Southport had authenticity and charm.

Really like Southport, lots for children down at the marina, so many beautiful swans and huge geese😊crazy golf , timber playground, helter skelter and funfair, open green spaces and parks, more than enough shops & supermarkets , great pubs and endless eating places. Trains every 15 mins gets you to Liverpool City and beyond to Chester City and Chester Zoo, take a train or bus to Ormskirk market.

A tired Victorian seaside town that is still, overshadowed by the stoic stature of Queen Victoria, the boulevard Lord Street among others, aping those of Paris struggling to appeal to visitors and the locals alike. Didn't visit the Museum as planned, the Street flowers pots are grey, the flowers are barely springing up inline with the weather. The area around railway station and the Merseyside Rail itself, are in such a sad state, a reflection of the current local poor economy.

We have stayed at the same hotel many times and we particularly like the secure underground carpark for peace of mind and the easy lift access from it to reception and to our room after checking in. The new Restaurant menu is now much improved, so we gave it a try and we were pleasantly contented. Normally in the evening we would eat out at the Grand Brassier or the Vincent.
Southport itself has a very pleasant atmosphere and is a nice relaxing place to be.
Beautiful small boutique hotel in a fabulous area in Southport within walking distance of cafes and restaurants. The room was small but very well-appointed, beautiful finishings, very comfortable bed. Communal kitchen is very convenient for making breakfasts and warming takeaways etc. We loved it so much that we stayed here again, twice more, during our roadtrip when we ended up back in Southport. Most importantly, Amanda who runs the place is extremely hospitable and goes out of her way to make sure guests are comfortable.
Carpet and room was not clean my partner was
Bite by something in room on beding and he end up in hospital for four day with very serious infection were he got server blood infection and skin infection he was in chorley hospital we report to staff no wone did nothing but this
I love have to get my money back think of suing hotel carpet was not cleaned I was bite by forgin object I did 4 days in hospital but server drips of antibiotic and was very ill for three weeks
The apartment was exceptional. Situated along the main road in Southport it allowed us to spend time as a family rather than stuck in separate hotel rooms. The flat was super clean with a well equipped kitchen. Bathrobes, huge towels and toiletries made the stay special. Access was via a lock box by the front door. Contact with the site before our arrival was via the internet and clear instructions on location, parking and access was excellent.
Loved this hotel my wife and I had a 2 night break just before Christmas and found the place great. Room was lovely and clean and very modern looking over Lord Street. It's in a great position with sports bar and great whisky bar underneath. The staff were great on reception especially Claudia who was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel if your thinking of staying over in southport.
Staff were very good friendly and knowledgeable, Hotel is in a prime place .stayed here before and will have no problem returning again if I visit Southport , good value priced stay and the breakfast was very good , hotel is dated but you can’t change that the hotel on the whole was clean and relaxing .
Nice friendly staff room was lovely, very limited menu and no information in the rooms definitely benefit it if had restaurant and said had cocktail bar but limited stuff for cocktail other than that this hotel get unfair bad reviews as it's clean plenty of space rooms definitely be back soon
A very comfortable, quiet, contemporary and well priced family run hotel, with a lovely breakfast and bar area. In a great location in the centre of Southport. We would recommend highly and will definitely stay there again when visiting the area.
Great value for money. An excellent base for discovering Southport. The lady who cleaned the rooms was really nice a real credit to the hotel. The bed was super comfy 😍 I would definitely use this hotel again for a break in Southport
Everything. The location was just right 10min walk into Southport town and to lovely Birkdale. Apartment was perfect, comfortable facilities were spot on. Hosts were responsive, nothing too much trouble.
We have had a lovely mini break at Scarisbrick Hotel in Southport, the location is excellent, the Room was clean comfortable tea coffee making facilities the decor of our room was fresh and clean 😊😊

Good location in the middle of Southport. Staff were excellent and everything perfectly clean and tidy. The restaurant attached to the hotel is also extremely good!
I could not fault this hotel, the location was excellent, the rooms beautiful, the breakfast lovely and the staff were always on hand and very helpful and friendly
Southport is such a cute town, even in the winter. The hotel is located in the perfect spot and the room was more like an apartment than a hotel, which is nice.
