Reception staff were helpful and professional. Some of the nicest hotel staff I have met in some time. The facilities, comfortable bed and location makes this hotel ideal if you need to stay near Stansted Airport. It is just a short ride to Stansted Airport on a shuttle bus. I would definitely stay here again.

The Reception staff went out of there way to help with our questions. Unfortunately our car unexpectedly broke down and we had to leave it in the car park. They assisted with taxi numbers and trip to the airport and even water for the engine. Nothing was too much trouble - so sorry not to have got the name of the young lady from the morning and the gent in the late evening.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

Close M11 and Stansted.
Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location.
Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt
The room was lovely and couldn't be faulted. We were at the end of the hotel, therefore, no real outlook via the window.
The dinner was lovely. Friendly and helpful staff made the whole evening very pleasant.
The breakfast was amazing and the staff were so cheerful and happy in their work.
All in all we couldn't recommend The Cock Inn any higher.
Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant experience.
Stayed overnight following a nearby wedding. When booking, hotel responded quickly and extremely helpfully to my questions regarding possible early check in and local taxi info.
Room clean and comfortable and lovely friendly welcome. Generous breakfast freshly cooked and served with care by friendly staff.
Would definitely revisit and recommend.
Nice, clean hotel. rooms a good size and plenty of tea/coffee, toiletries etc.
Easy check-in at the pub next door.
Quiet, no noise from the pub - this was my second visit and found the rooms quiet on both occasions.
Will definitely be booking again as I travel to the area most weeks.
The hotel has an excellent service with every thing that they provide. The breakfast is excellent and the dinners are to die for. Have eaten at quite a few hotel's in the past, but this hotel has the most excellent service and also the rooms are very clean and spacious
The Cock Inn Hotel is lovely accommodation which is fantastic value for money.
The staff there are super friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Although I didn't make use of the full breakfast, the set up looked great and I wish I'd had time to stay and eat properly!
This hotel was fantastic, the rooms were lovely, the bed was super comfy, the bar & restaurant area were just what you want, a fantastic bar with local beers & snacks & the food was FANTASTIC. The one thing that was really outstanding was the staff.
As we were helping my daughter move house we didn't arrive at the hotel until very late but we were happy to find the room spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. The full English breakfast was great.
Absolutely wonderful stay at the Cock Inn Hotel, thank you to all the friendly staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We had an evening meal and the breakfast, both were superb. Plenty of parking available.
On a trip to a local sale. Everything 1st class all staff very friendly and most helpful, they let us come back for breakfast even when we had left the hotel early.
The location was ideal. Sheering very nice village. Used to live locally so know very well. The waitress who served in the restaurant was very polite and helpful.
