The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my late arrival. Breakfast was delicious. Room and bathroom were clarge, comfortable and clean. The bed was huge.

Very special unique location, castle was beautiful and Appleby town lovely too. Fantastic evening meal in the castle and good breakfast too. Room had facilities required for a short stay.

It was a beautifully presented room in a gorgeous house in a gorgeous area. We had the warmest of welcomes and we were enjoyed our time exploring the area and up into the penines- it is definitely a good little area to explore with the penines to the north, the lakes to the west and so on. Could not recommend enough
