It is such a beautiful part of the island. Wonderful bays for swimming and such an amazing coastal path and really easy to get around the rest of the island. we did a day trip to Herm which was definitely a highlight - more beautiful beaches for me to swim from.
The only negative I would say is don't have a scone and cream at the cafe downstairs in Petit Bot - VERY MEDIOCRE, owner very defensive when questioned about the cream - showed us the bottle and told us how expensive it was and how he put it though a sort of aerator(I accused him of using the ubiquitous squirty cream) ended up the equivalent of watered down beer but instead it was just mostly air and a very meagre amount at that - a complete rip off in my opinion. The restaurant and bar upstairs wonderful however is great.

An interesting place to explore with various things to do. We enjoyed Candie Gardens, Saumarez House and Gardens was a day out too. Lots of great places to eat, but many closed on Mondays. "57" was great, The Boat House was equally good and The Crepe Maison was so good we went there thrice for various filled crepes. We also enjoyed a Sunday roast at Guernsey Pearl.

We were familiar with St Peter Port from previous visits and like wandering around the town. There are some interesting shops around the back streets. There are a lot of very good restaurants on the island serving excellent food (especially sea food) - can be a little expensive - especially the wines (normally £40/bottle upwards) but still thoroughly enjoyable. If you are driving, just be aware some streets are narrow so don’t hire a big car - for some reason a lot of roads during our stay were closed (for no apparent reason)

Great bus and ferry connections to the "must see" sights. Nice shopping centre. Very good music street scene with lots of artistes. Big variety of music (Crooners, Folk Music, Popular, Jazz, singer songwriters and so on). Great parks and lots to explore. Did I mention fabulous bars & restaurants? (Upmarket, Pizza, Steaks, Italian, Chinese, Gastropubs - so much to choose from).

Everything is really about the Harbour, the Castle and the views to the smaller islands of Herm & Sark
Quite a Quaint town with a decent range of shops - Good range of Restaurants.
The Island Bus service - centring on the terminus area by the harbour is outstanding.
Good location, clean and comfortable. I booked it because it was much cheaper than the other hotels for that day and was expecting it to be quite run down and needing updating, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The breakfast basket was very cute with 2 crossiants, butter, jam, 2 packets of cereal and 2 yogurts.
The location was brilliant for my needs. I haven't anything negative to say, except I found it strange needing to call 0 to have milk brought up for tea and coffee. Milk is normally provided in most hotels alongside the sachets. I didn't want to put anyone out just for milk so didn't bother asking for it.
The location was perfect, easily within walking distance of all the key sights in St Peter Port. The OGH is a traditional style top end hotel with sumptuous decor and high levels of customer service.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a good location for walking into St Peter Port and the garden was lovely.
