We paid £280 through booking.com for an anniversary celebration to arrive after a 2 hour car journey . No bank card so we could not stay at the place we had paid for no return of our money or anything . I cannot believe it , never known anything like it in my life . Considering we stayed at the same place 2 weeks ago for a birthday and went through all the same process off paying then paying the damage fee from my online banking which there was no issue with the last time . Asked to speak to the manager and all sorts the woman which was on reception was not helpful at all and literally said there was nothing she could do . Never been treat so badly anywhere , will be taking the further . Not visiting again and making sure everybody is aware of this !

Superb hotel, friendly staff, gorgeous rooms and grounds. We had a lake view room and it was lovely. Breakfast and dinner were both fantastic. We will definitely be returning.
