A clean, friendly house with the necessities for a short break - toilet, shower and bed. Old-fashioned but none the worse for that. I love staying here its my favourite hotel when we travel to this area for any reason and never book anywhere else been coming here for years. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. We held our mother's 90th birthday here and our 35th Wedding Anniversary a few years ago brilliant. We love the train station down the road and the village is in easy walking distance. There's a great little shop Norths near the railway bridge with wonderful treats and café worth a visit .

I was very much surprised, in a good way with the hotel. My single room was on the 2nd floor, which had spectacular views of the garden and the water feature. I wish I could have stayed longer! The bathroom was a little outdated but clean and functional. The floors throughout the hotel were very squeaky, which may only disturb you if you were a light sleeper. I would certainly stay here again, staff were lovely, breakfast was awesome and the scenery was delightful!

    Very pretty part of Leicestershire.

Very pretty part of Leicestershire. Absolutely NO MOBILE SIGNAL so you can hardly book a taxi except from a landline. Some people will love the fact that there's no mobile signal lol. Very good access to Swithlands, where we had a family wedding.

Both dinners in the restaurant were excellent, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rooms were good, our room lock failed on second day so w were moved to another room. This was handled quickly and efficiently so no complaints. The Wi-Fi in the hotel was not working which was the only inconvenience.

First impression counts, hence our Room not having a phone, a TV remote control and the main lamp on the table not working reflects in our rating. Housekeeping should make a final check to ensure guests ' comfort. All these were corrected as soon as the issues were raised. So top service from staff in front office. The hotel has some lovely grounds...very calming.

Really nice, courteous and helpful staff. Old mansion hence windows, radiators reflected the age-but added to the charm of the hotel. From first entering treated exceptionally well. Excellent breakfast -anything I wanted and very tasty sausage and mash for dinner. If I come back to the area I will stay at Rothley Court again. Stay cost way below what I would expect to pay.

The hotel was historic and fantastic!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and I couldn't fault it. They even printed off some information about the history of the building which I thought was great. The bedroom was huge with a separate seating area and a serperate bathroom.
