We didn't expect it to be a motel with very basic facilities, so the only thing I can put in "like" section is probably ease of finding it. It served the purpose thought, for one night.
With a restaurant and a bar onsite, The Bath Arms Hotel offers adult-only accommodations in the picturesque village of Cheddar. The Cheddar Gorge Caves are just 10 minutes' walk away.

Friendly professional staff
Good size room fresh en-suite comfy bed.
Had starter and desert, both good. Desert imaginative.
Lots of nice little rooms and places to sit and relax, eat and drink, or in my case read a book.
Garden tables.
Nice breakfast.

Like most seaside accommodation I was expecting it to be a bit run down and was delighted to find my room was newly refurbished to a high standard with a very smart en-suite and good free Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels appeared new.

I don't like anything that I saw there, first of all I was asked to wait for 30mins for the reception to get me booked in. My Experience in Guest house @ the Bear was bad. The reception was a man who was smelling of Alcohol, he declined to even give me a room maybe because am black. I was badly treated and I will not advice anybody to go there. It's very very bad place to be.

Unfortunately I found nothing nice about it, we were greeted with a man with his phone in his face, told us to hold on. The room was filthy it may have had a quick clean but the dust was awful, the mould around the bath. The bed linen was damp. It needed a good clean. 178 I paid for one night and I'm disgusted.
No breakfast vouchers given even though I had paid, however that was sorted out but wish I hadn't bothered paying extra for the breakfast. Would not recommend.

Read the main review - but I would add that you have to remember that this is on the northbound carriageway and if travelling south, you will need to go past it, get off at the next junction, and then join the carriageway north.

I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit.
I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit. They have big parking lot. So, no problem of parking. Also, restaurants, coffee shop, petrol station so close to the hotel. Enjoyed my stay there and will surely visit in future.

Exactly what I expected.
Exactly what I expected. Ideal as a place to break your journey travelling on M5, & for staying longer to visit the surrounding area if you just want somewhere clean & tidy to stay. Also cheaper than premier inn & other holiday accomodation. As we take our own breakfast, a fridge would be great to have in the room for milk etc.
Downside is, apart from walking to services, you always need your car to travel to places.
It was excellent value for money and exceeded our expectations. The staff were very helpful and the room had everything we needed. A two seater sofa was a bonus. We haven't stayed in a Days Inn hotel before and it was much better than similar budget chains. We haven't stayed in a service area before and were pleased it was so quiet. The breakfast in a box was very helpful combined with the hot drinks in the room.
This hotel is perfect if you are doing the Burnham and Highbridge parkrun as you can get there via the service road
Very clean and comfortable accommodation, plenty of room, bed was very comfortable, shower and bathroom were excellent, staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the whole stay, nothing was too much, made sure we had plenty of towels, and the added bonus of a tv with freeview and a sofa was lovely, fantastic little hotel, parking available, and just a great location just off the m5 for an overnight stay - Perfect for us!
Although a bit tired looking in places, the rooms were clean, comfortable and warm. Bed was comfortable. Everything was as we expected for a motorway services hotel. The day receptionist was very friendly and helpful, so we’re the housekeeping staff. I expected more traffic noise being by the M5 but it was surprisingly quiet, which was a bonus as we had a baby in one room.
The staff at this hotel really do go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Elaine the receptionist gives outstanding customer service. The cleaning girls also work very hard and it definitely reflects in the nice clean rooms. 👌
The hotel is primarily a sort of a convenient pit stop for long journeys. It's perfect in this regard, check-in was easy, parking right outside, room spacious, clean services about a minute away, staff friendly, and optional breakfast.
the hotel is next to the M5, which makes it ideal for traveling to Weston super mare and or Bristol.
Room is tidy, bed is lovely and comfy and Breakfast deal with The Great Breakfast in the services next door is brilliant!!
Friendly welcome despite the late arrival time. Quiet room. Heating worked well. Able to buy a drink at reception from a fridge there. Good price and would happily use this hotel again.
the hotel staff were amazing especially one lady i think she was the boss she was so good i’m heavily pregnant with a toddler and she made our stay as easy and comfortable as possible
Room bathroom and the quietness of the hotel
very friendly staff
on checkout the young lady directed us on our way very clearly
would stay there again quite happily.
