Right in the heart of Barnard Castle. The food was excellent, probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Rooms and public spaces had quality furnishings and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

3 village greens, two pubs, Rose and Crown excellent.

3 village greens, two pubs, Rose and Crown excellent. Church old and some interesting features. Near High and Low force waterfalls. Barnard Castle and Middleton on Tees both interesting and nearby. Middleton has the most bizzare statue I have ever seen. Looks like Cupid being attacked by 4 crocodiles!
