Robin hood was excellent. Great bars and fun for the kids.
a great, quiet location for visiting north Wales. Short distance to a pub/cafe or the main road, also able to walk to a supermarket and a couple of restaurant/takeaways.
Has a historic castle, on a river.

A small town, the sort you could walk round in an hour. Some shops, a Spar, take aways and pubs, it has enough to occupy you for a short break. We had a take away from the Fei Von Chinese restaurant and it was lovely! The castle ruins we not open (opens March) so we couldn't walk round, but there are other walks in the area.

Lovely little place within walking distance of the castle and town. The castle is a must see and very interesting to read all the information around the site. Maps all around the town explain all the history and places of interest. Rhyl is a very short drive away even manageable on a push bike. The scenery is breathtaking.

For such a small village there are so many things to do and see. Obviously there is the castle but the ancient Twthill is right next door to it. Then there's the shops and restaurants, the Village Masala in particular is excellent and gets very busy. Not forgetting the river for a walk along the banks or maybe even a spot of fishing.

Rhuddlan is a lovely village with just enough amenities to make for a comfortable stay without the hustle and bustle of the busier sea-side resorts. The castle gives it a special something, and definately one for those interested in a bit of history and as an exciting trip for children at a very reasonable cost of entry. Bus services to and from Rhyl are frequent enough if you use public transport to get around, and with a car there's lots to explore in the surrounding area, both Dyserth Waterfall, Prestatyn, St Asaph and more.
gorgeous little cottage overlooking Rhuddlan Castle ,we came for a four day mini moon and there was a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for us which was very thoughtful , thank you !
The bed is VERY comfy .. I didn’t want to get up in the morning ! nice little outside seating area and the utility room with washing machine and dishwasher is a handy feature if you are staying longer .
you just can’t tire of the beautiful view every morning .
A lovely restful stay
Always visit this place while in Rhuddlan friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food always very tasty and excellent quality. Stayed overnight in one of their lovely comfy rooms had a great night's sleep, returning at the weekend with friends and have booked one of the many pods outside ( inc heating and lighting ) to enjoy drinks and food al fresco regardless of the great British weather, definitely a great place to be would definitely recommend !!
had a fantastic weekend in montford house, so comfortable warm and cosy, close to all the pubs and cafe's Host was very helpful and friendly. Like a home from home. everything we needed. Bottle of Prosecco and radox which was a lovely touch. Will definetely be booking again. Thank you for a lovely stay. We have a caravan in rhuddlan which is now closed so think this will be our base for the winter months.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Despite me not booking a table in advance, the staff were still able to accommodate me for tea downstairs at the bar.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The area is nice - 2 min walk from the scenic Rhuddlan Castle, 10 mins from Gwrych Castle, half an hour from Conwy.
Great location, amazing that Rhuddlan Castle was literally on the doorstep. 🏰 Cottage had everything you needed very relaxing stay. Added bonus having back garden too. Nice friendly pubs, takeaways, cafes, local shops ..... all within walking distance. Nice little towns to visit not too far away.

We had a short but very pleasant stay in Rhuddlan House. We liked the space and privacy what this nice, clean 3 bedroom house offered. Friendly welcome and great hospitality. Flexible with arrival time. Recommended for families, nice, safe and quiet area.
The area was quite, off street parking was great for unloading our millions of bags, the house had everything you’d expect as if you were at home, beds were great, slept well, all was good at Rhuddlan House, we will be back hopefully in the near future!
Riverdale Cottage was an absolute dream. Perfect location facing Rhuddlan Castle. Spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was such a lovely touch! Can't wait to go back!
Lovely family run hotel, central location near to the castle and local attractions. Very helpful and friendly owners and staff and I would highly recommend.
