The Crown Inn, hotel in Penpillick

Set in the small village of Lanlivery, less than 10 minutes from Eden Project, The Crown Inn features a sun terrace and views of the garden. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

We spent 3 nights in The Crown Inn, sleeping in a bedroom in the main building. The bed was very comfortable. The location is great, near enough to the main roads to get around the area, but rural enough to be very peaceful. It was lovely weather so we made use of the lovely beer garden. The owner and his team were all very friendly and welcoming. We only ate in the Inn one evening, finding the food to be very enjoyable. A continental breakfast was included, which had everything we could have asked for. Cooked breakfasts were available and we chose to pay for a full English one morning at what is a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend this Inn and not hesitate to return if we visit the area again.

Boscundle Manor, hotel in Penpillick

Set in 2 acres of grounds, Boscundle Manor features a heated indoor swimming pool, bar and a spa. Just 1 mile from The Eden Project, the property also offers free parking and free WiFi.

This is a beautiful unique place. We both loved it! Quirky decor, fantastic service, stunning garden and grounds, lovely personal touches (they deliver a freshly baked muffin in a Boscundle Manor bag to your room every morning!! Hanging up on a hook outside your door for when you wake up. Delightful touch.) Absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely stay again. The owner gave us loads of information about things to see and do and we had a great time playing pool in the wonderful games room as well as a lovely relaxing swim in their indoor pool.

Best Western Fowey Valley, hotel in Penpillick

Located just a 10-minute drive from the Eden Project, this modern hotel in Lostwithiel offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor heated pool, free parking, and an on-site restaurant.

The location was good for my business meeting. The in-room facilities were very good with Iron, Hair Dryer etc. Good coffee and tea making facilities with bonus biscuits. Although the weather was absolutely horrendous, I can imagine the outdoor heated pool would be amazing in the summer months.

The Old Quay House Hotel, hotel in Penpillick

A luxury hotel in Cornwall overlooking the Fowey’s attractive waterfront, the award-winning Old Quay House has a waterside terrace with estuary views. Wi-Fi is free to use.

My husband and I stayed midweek early season for one night as we were walking through on our honeymoon. We appreciated the manager Sue switching us from a room with a window over the street to a room with a water view, even though another staff member was saying that we would need to pay extra for that upgrade. We thought our new room was very comfortable, the location was good and the breakfast was enjoyable.

Rude cottage owners, very difficult to find the property,...

Rude cottage owners, very difficult to find the property, dirty and stinking kitchen, barking dog. My wife fell, she tripped over a step because of the lack of light at the entrance gate, and couldn’t walk for two days as a result. The room was tiny and incredibly stuffy - you couldn’t open the window due to the really loud and busy road outside. The owner took the money from my card one hour before our arrival. They didn't provide the right invoice. We arrived before 10pm and the cottage owners immediately complained that we made a noise trying to get into our room. Finally we left the property without any compensation. The owners refused to pay us back and they rudely suggested that we should leave their property immediately because of other guests. We paid almost £100 for nothing. Terrible place to stay! We have requested a refund, without success. Absolutely awful, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody.
