Shepherd's Loch Glamping is such a unique space to spend time unwinding and relaxing. All of the cabins are well built and very interesting, with solar power, gas stoves and well-appointed bathrooms and bedrooms. The staff are very accommodating and helpful and the room was very clean and well appointed. We did a little fishing at one of the ponds, visited the little shop for supplies on site and borrowed a book from the community center. A pair of pheasants were living around our cabin, and put on a show each morning for us. Thanks for a great stay!

Pennan is a beautiful traditional fishing village, famous for being "Ferness" in the film Local Hero. It has various holiday cottages and a Bed and Breakfast. The BnB has a bar, but doesn't serve food, and isn't open long hours. By the harbour is a lovely wee coffee shack selling hot drinks and cakes, with a very friendly owner. Saw a brilliant wee photo gallery too, it's up a wee lane sign posted from the street. There is a village hall which has public toilets. It's well worth a visit.

If you like to be off the beaten track it is wonderful.
If you like to be off the beaten track it is wonderful. The accommodation is really good, location is fantastic, gravel beach 2 mins from the property, at night you can properly see the stars Not far from Fraserburgh with eating places, supermarket, fuel etc.
Warm welcome following excellent pre arrival communications. Friendly and accommodating hosts with enthusiasm for the location and care for every detail. Breakfast was beautiful and so lovely to have it continental. Really lovely feel to the place and people and just so relaxing and chilled. Nothing too much trouble - everything to make you feel at ease, welcome and settled. Could really enjoy the peace of Pennan while feeling connected too. Thank you.
Cozy cottage in lovely, quiet location on cliffs above Pennan village. Better than appears in the photos. We could see the village below from the side window. Sea behind and fields with cows to the front. Comfortable, good shower and well-equipped kitchen. Some nice local walks; had to walk on roads to reach them, but there was little traffic. Possible to walk to wee, cozy pub in Pennan (limited opening hours).
Amazing hotel with breathtaking scenery. Monika and Roland were fantastic couldn’t do enough for you. Gorgeous little bar and their Local Hero beer is a must try. Thank you for having us, will definitely be back again, hopefully see the northern lights next time.
Great place, if you want to stay in a true scottish village with excellent location.
If you like the movie, the experience is even better.
Monika and Roland are very nice hosts and care about their guests.

Highly recommended if you want a break away from the hustle and bustle of life.
Pennan village it’s simply magic and the Pennan Inn is part of the incredible magic of the village! The owners are lovely and everything it’s perfect.
The bedroom with the see view it’s gonna be forever in my heart.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful village. Run by very friendly people. Great overnight stop especially if you are a fan of the film Local Hero. The village is virtually deserted so expect the quiet life.
