Friendly welcome. Spotlessly clean. Just the right amount of communication. Breakfast fantastic. Highly recommended. Room had everything you could need.

Staff helped me to change rooms when I was put in a room with a bed with a footboard, which I am too tall for. The bathroom was modern. The silence in the night was impressive. I could sleep without earplugs. Staff were very kind and helped me down with large luggage upon check-out.

Breakfast was heavenly: delicious and such attention to detail. I live in Japan and this was right up there in terms of 'omotenashi' which means hospitality. Furnishings, decor also first rate. I want to live here!

They are short staffed so don’t blame the staff for problems ( like restricted hours of check in and pool/spa.)
They do need a lot of investment in the whole site.
It’s a fantastic location, walking distance of a good pub that does food. Machynlleth an interesting town with local shops, market on a Wednesday.
Great train ride from Aberdyfi up to Barmouth and Harlech.
Comfortable beds and a good shower.

Great country walks!
Great country walks! This resort has so much potential if it is refurbished and cleaned appropriately. It would be excellent value for money if it were clean! A car is required to get to resort and from, not much around in terms of local shop.
I would return to use accommodation but take my own cleaning products to clean kitchen facilities and unfortunately avoid the pool as it was too unhygienic.
An hours drive to Zip World! I definitely recommend it for a great experience.

This is an outstanding countryside location offering beauty, peace and quiet. About a thirty minute car journey from Aberystwith along the coast We have visited the area for some twenty five years and still love to return.
A short journey of 10 minutes by car will take you into Machynlleth to get all needed essentials. It has a brilliant fish and chip takeaway including a very nice sit-down area with excellent staff... and open during the day too. Find it opposite the Spar shop on the main St.
(The local bakery is now sadly closed down)
You will find lots of opportunity to travel around this part of Snowdonia and visit places of interest. But be aware that much is closed down for winter -including the Corris craft centre which we love to visit. The beautiful glass craft shop is still open though, and available to buy delightful handmade items from.

Great for many activities, you could spend a day at the beach the next day trekking the forests and waterfalls, the next on a nature walk, and the next on some sports activity. Lot's to discover and do if your up for and adventure but also plenty of more leisurely things to enjoy and unwind to.

Myself and family stayed at this place for Easter, and no doubt that the view is gorgeous, however, when we arrived at the bungalow we found mice droppings and pieces of fibre from a pillow on top of one of the beds, I couldn't believe what I was seeing and to be honest was already late to call reception because it is self-catering. Our friends rented a bungalow next to ours and they had exactly the same findings with the difference of being more droppings than in ours. Both of us, because was late and we were on holidays with kids and almost didn't spend time at home, decided to ignore it and never told reception. Our big mistake.
Before you book with them is important to know that the place is outdated, you will have to clean and tidy up your own bungalow, which is something that we weren't made aware on booking. They will charge you £30 for late checkout and if you haven't cleaned they will charge you money and it wasn't pennies, they charged me over £100 in between deposit, late checkout and cleaning.
After all they charged us without prior consent or invoice, which raises me questions in how they store and use our card details.
The property is outdated and considering all the hassle doesn't worth the money. After several calls, I have spoken with the manager requesting an explanation and mentioning about the mice droppings and she didn't seem surprised because instead of mentioning our friends bungalow, she mentioned another one 2 spaces above, which definitely tells me that they know the problem but don't care about it.
Be careful before booking or signing anything with them. Find the pictures from the upper mentioned incident.
