A beautiful, old building with lots of character and history. It was welcoming to see the log fires blazing on arrival, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room and bathroom was clean (carpets a little stained), the bed was comfy and the lounge areas were cozy and a nice place to relax in the evening. It was well located for Hay-on-Wye just a short drive away, and we enjoyed some nice walks directly from the pub.
This lovely, old stone building is at the foothills of the Black Mountains amid beautiful countryside and views of the Brecon Beacons. It has a restful feel, comfortable rooms and a free Wi-Fi zone.

Look of the place was beautiful. The room was lovely, and the bed so comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean.
Dinner was very delicious for both of us. First time I have ever eaten celeriac.
Breakfast was, again, delicious.
