The property was well tucked away in a elevated position but was still a short drive away from the main road in Pant. On arriving found the private entrance and parkin was more than adequate, with space to turn around.
The property itself is very well appointed with a nice clean modern kitchen/dining area and lounge, with a double bedroom and en suite shower room.
There was everything needed to cook whatever meals you wanted to with a large enough fridge to cater for most people. Nice touch was to leave milk, eggs an biscuit etc. for those who might forget to bring these / as a welcome treat on arival.
There is free wifi which was a bonus, and needed for those wanting to access the internet etc. as there is zero mobile phone signal at the property (we use O2 and three sims).
The shower room is nicely tiled, very clean, with plenty of towels provided.
The double bed is extremely comfortable, and with an electric heater in the bedroom and lounge, plus an electric towel rail in the shower room to adjust the temperature to everyone's liking. As it is extremely quiet in this property, sleep was not an issue!
The property is very dog friendly, with dogs allowed inside the property as long as you dog is kept off the sofa/bed i.e. perfectly acceptable. The property is also fully enclosed to allow your dog to roam in the large area provided, plus the added benefit of a large dog kennel to use if needed. The walks from the property are also pretty special.
Family have just moved to the beautiful town of Oswestry.
Family have just moved to the beautiful town of Oswestry. The people in the town who we engaged with, were all very friendly and helpful. We have a newborn baby with us and the Fox pub, which is a lovely local pub, saw said baby and immediately lit the fire to welcome her and keep her warm. That is the essence of the people in this town.

Oswestry is a lovely town.
Oswestry is a lovely town. It is an ideal place to stay to visit both Powys Castle and Chirk Castle over a two day period. We found everyone we spoke to very friendly and helpful. There is a nice range of shops and a good choice of restaurants, cafes and pub for food.

Lovely town, with lots of independent retailers and a really nice indoor market. There are the usual empty shops you get in most towns nowadays, some of them really beautiful buildings, so hopefully they will fill up again - or perhaps the local council could have an initiative with pop-up shops to make use of the space?
We were lucky to be staying at Sebastian's, in the town centre, which has free parking. It's annoying to have to pay for parking otherwise, which we've done on short visits before. Even blue badge holders have to pay, although get an extra hour 'free'. We live in West Oxfordshire and all public car parks in Witney, Chipping Norton and Burford are free.
Surrounding villages pretty* but no pubs open lunchtimes that we could find, mainly evenings only. Oswestry has plenty, and we enjoyed the open mic night at the Griffin, and the Bailey Head is brilliant with a huge choice of craft beers and real ales.
Lovely parks right in the centre, including a fully fenced dog park, free for users.
Really nice town, friendly people and would consider moving here.
*Watch out for some of the country roads - on leaving and en-route to Kelsall, attempting to avoid horrendous tailbacks on the main A-road, we strayed into Wales and found ourselves (thanks to sat-nav) on what could only be described as a track - no signage to indicate the road was out of use, and once we were committed, couldn't turn around so had to soldier on for a couple of miles through the worst 'road' I've ever driven on. Don't use Garmin TomTom app, stick with Waze!!

Oswestry is not a tourist town.
Oswestry is not a tourist town. We visited due to my family history research. Still a pleasant little town.
Old Oswestry hill fort just to the north of the centre was the highlight for me.
As in most UK towns, the ambience of the town is spoiled by a few selfish hoons deliberately making noise with cars and motorbikes.

Oswestry is an agricultural small town and as such is quite rare in England so a really great place to wander around. Interesting local shops and plenty of cafes and pubs but beware, after 15:00 there was no food to be had (on a Thursday)! Only coffee and cake! Large carparks which is a mixed blessing. Personally I thought that too much of the town was given over to asphalt and the parking was too cheap! Many would see this as a bonus!

Small town but several pubs and restaurants to chose from, many independent eateries and shops as well as the old favourite for some Wetherspoons, WHSmiths, Costa, B&M etc. lovely indoor market and outdoor stalls on our weekend visit. All close together so easy to cover. No cars allowed in shopping area so safe for pedestrians & families.
British Ironworks was closed on Sunday which was
a shame as planned to drop in. Lovely evening meals in townhouse Brassiere and Sebastian’s, excellent standard of service and decor.
This property truly exceeded my expectations! The spacious layout and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the soft sheets added an extra touch of luxury. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the entire property. The breathtaking views from the location were simply spectacular. The host's friendliness and hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable getaway, and I can't wait to return myself!
Seemed to be no clear check in desk, and no-one around to help. Did not know what to do. Same with paying- were not asked to pay at checkin as expected. Did not end up paying till last day and WE had to do the asking.
No real problem - just a bit quirky, but then that was the what we liked about the hotel.
Large interesting grounds to wander in, but again no one to ask where I could and couldn't walk.
On request they provided a fan which was very handy as it was very warm during our stay.
The room was gorgeous, so comfortable and a sweet view of the area. It was luxurious, the shower was so good and we loved the waterfall tap and the lighting mirror. Everything was perfect, and there was a lovely slice of cake for us on arrival, with tea and milk in a dinky little bottle. We were charmed! Breakfast was fab - tailored full brekky, but all the little bits you'd enjoy in a hotel too. Had the smoked haddock both days - it was to die for.
A lovely hotel, offering some old world charm. If you're staying in Oswestry it seems the best place to stay. The staff were very pleasant & informative.
We didn't have breakfast, but we did eat in the hotel restaurant & it was very good, so would recommend that as a place to eat.
The spa facilities were very good, with full access for hotel guests.
If I were to stay in Oswestry again, I'd happily stay. My room, 112, was particularly nice.
Lovely, compact and cozy house in a beautiful, quiet rural setting, yet a very convenient location for Oswestry and welsh borders. Hosts were very easy to communicate with, and very accommodating to our requests. They clearly look after the property with care and attention to detail, and there were lots of unanticipated extras - the good collection of board games were a real source of enjoyment to our son. A great place to stay.
Simply perfect. A fabulous find & exceptional accommodation. We recently stayed here for a night & loved the picture perfect setting of this modern, exceptionally clean & well-equipped barn conversion. The location was fabulous, nestled in the countryside just outside Oswestry. Zoe & Philip were both fabulous, convivial hosts. We will certainly return to explore the area further & to enjoy another stunning sunset.
Nice stay, clean, convenient, good host.
Just a few things could be added, there are no sockets on landing at all for a night light, hair dryer or to plug hoover in. No mirror in bedrooms to do make up or hair.
The mattresses in single bedroom were too comfy, thin, springy, I had gran daughter to stay over for a night so slept in single room with her.
Fabulous modern and stylish room with automatic skylights and a lovely bathroom. The owner is delightful and very kind and helpful. The rooms are all situated off a private courtyard (which is lovely) and lead to a private parking area. You should really opt for the breakfast add-on in their superb restaurant...it was fabulous!
Very centrally located, super clean and well kept apartment. Although they don't always, the owner happened to be outside as we arrived and was more than helpful in showing us in. I really liked that it is owned by the Italian restaurant above it, who will deliver their food to you with a 10% discount. That was a nice touch.
Melissa and Rob welcomed us like family. The house is amazing. They have done and excellent job of restoration and used the finest quality fixtures, etc. Breakfast was exactly as we ordered. We especially enjoyed the fruit plate. An excellent place to stay!
There was plenty of room, decent sized living area, kitchen, and a cosy bed upstairs. It was quirky, didn't feel like a hotel. The tea and coffee were branded, no cheap stuff from the hosts. Elaine was lovely, and was very friendly. I slept really well
Beautiful, well-equipped home, with everything we required. Calm and peaceful. Easy access to lots of attractions in Shropshire and across the border in Wales. We could not have asked for more, except maybe some slightly better weather!
We loved everything about our stay. Absolutely spotless throughout and a pleasure to stay there. A lovely welcome and an amazing room ensured a fantastic time and next time we visit Oswestry we will re book without hesitation.
Great little holiday barn, stayed with my 2 x cavapoos while visiting friends in Oswestry which was a short distance away. Welcoming hosts, cosy barn with very comfy bed & good shower. Would stay again if in the area!
Really helpful Staff, gorgeous location, peaceful and with an excellent breakfast. And the restaurant looked great - just wish we’d had time to sample dinner there. But the afternoon tea and supper was lovely.
I received an extremely warm welcome asnd nothing was too much trouble. I absolutely loved their ethos and approach to running the B and B and only a 10 minute walk into Oswestry. Simply superb
Beautiful little hotel tucked away in the Welsh countryside. Quiet, luxurious, very good food. Tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, excellent shower, great bathroom products.
