We had an amazing stay at the Lodge on the Loch Onich. Very authentic place and kind people. Children/toddler friendly, and delicious food at the restaurant (in fact one of the best we tried in the UK). The view on the loch is incredible. We'll be back for sure !

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.

The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too. It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

The Onich hotel is in a spectacular setting. We have stayed here before, we loved our stay then and we loved it this time too. The room and facilities were all one might expect and the food was top rate. We'll definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

    Loved the location.

Loved the location. Our room had a balcony and a fantastic view over Loch Linnhe. They have an excellent chef and evening meals were delicious & reasonably priced. They also had a well stocked bar. The owner, manager and staff were all very polite and helpful and it was so good we opted to stay another night. Not everyone enjoys a buffet breakfast but it was good quality and suited us except for the food not being hot enough. However this was quickly rectified & hopefully won’t be a problem in the future.

    Excellent location and room.

Excellent location and room. The owners are evidently investing a lot to update the hotel and when complete will be very good. The owners are very helpful and friendly but their staff let them down with their lack of professionalism.

as a landlord myself of 15 years there are 2 things that are a must for tenants. A good shower and a good bed. this place knocks that out of the park first bat. wonderful nights sleep and a great large shower. if your hiking this is perfect. everything else is equally well designed. hot water on tap and heating on tap when needed. the large windows offer stunning views when your not amongst them. additionally there is a hotel that serves wonderful food literally 200 feet down the road. what more could you want. will defiantly return

The host who checked us in was INCREDIBLY generous and kind! She gave us a full tour of the facilities so we knew exactly where everything we might need would be. She also recommended restaurants and places to buy food nearby. Both hosts were available and happy to answer any and all questions! Our room was extremely clean with our own bathroom. We only stayed for one night, but were happy for the cozy and comfortable spot to stay over. Thank you!

Hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us- always asking if there was anything that we needed and going above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! The view from our room was magnificent (sea view and balcony) and picturesque even on the not so sunny days! Food was lovely and room was clean and spacious and suitable to stay in with our dog! Bathroom very clean and recently renovated- great shower!

Everything was perfect. The staff are very friendly and supportive. The location is excellent and the views from the lounge are to die for :). The room was very clean and to high standard and the breakfast was served on time and delicious too. They also did lovely bar meals in the evening with lots of choice for vegetarian food. All in all a great stay and I could move in if I could :)

The location is stunning! You've got a direct view on the lake! We also enjoyed the restaurant which serves really good food! They also have a great bar. You can take your dog to the restaurant and also to the breakfast room. The staff is very dog-friendly, too. If you complain about something the mangement is willing to improve asap.

Fantastic hosts, who provided us with a comfortable home setting away from home. Comfortable bed, shower great and good breakfast to start the day. Mairi also guided us to get medical care after I got knee injury and to amazing local cafes, restaurants and sites. Our preferred one was Lochleven Seafood Cafe! Superb!

Very friendly staff and more modern accommodations than most European hotels we stayed in. Beautiful views of the lake and very good breakfast buffet. I also liked that it is one of the first Ft. William-area hotels you arrive at after driving a long and treacherous road.
