The location of the hotel was very good. Right next to fistral beach. The hotel was clean and looked very nice. Staff were friendly, even one of the cleaners said hello in the middle of the town as she was walking home after her shift. The hotel pool was very nice and clean (could be a tad warmer but that's just personal preference). Breakfast was really nice and made better with a sea view. I will definitely be visiting again.

Newquay has that laidback feel that goes hand in hand with being England’s undisputed surfing capital. The centre of the action is Fistral Beach whose swells and Cribbar Reef produce some of the largest breakers in the British Isles. The long, sandy beach is backed by tall dunes which give way to Newquay Golf Club.
Great Western Beach lies below sheer cliffs one street from the train station, while Towan Beach by the picturesque harbour is the closest to the town centre. Tolcarne Beach is sheltered in its own bay, as is the wide stretch of sand at Porth Beach whose northern coastline is 2 rocky headlands joined by a narrow footbridge over the sea.
Each beach is overlooked by luxury hotels with spas, cheap hostels and self-catering apartments on Booking.com. All are surrounded by Newquay’s restaurants, bars and clubs which offer the best nightlife this side of Bristol.
More leisurely pursuits include Trerice manor house in the countryside near the Lappa Valley Steam Railway. Buccaneer Bay and the Blue Reef Aquarium are popular with families, as are Waterworld and Newquay Zoo within Trenance Gardens.
Another favoured spot for a walk are the salt marshes by the River Gannel which is a prominent sight as you descend into Newquay Cornwall Airport.
Nice town. Lovely polite friendly people. Seven beautiful beaches. Lots to do. Nice bars, restaurants, cafes. Use the Land Train and Atlantic Coaster bus if you do not have a car to see surrounding area, Great town for surfing or just to spectate or just wonder around and eat and drink. Recommend Ginger and Joe's restaurant. Good airport connectivity which is easy to get through quickly. Newquay seems both kid and oldie friendly. We went off season Mid/Late September. I would say peak season is much more lively.

Having been to Newquay on many occastions & thoughly enjoyed it, which is why chose to visit it every time.
The only dislike is that Newquay town is no longer thriving. Its lost its excitement perhaps this because it was lat in the season.

Newquay is a very touristy town - so dont come here if you want a really quiet, relaxing seaside town. The town in parts is a little run down and tired too. However, Newquay is probably one of my most favourite places ever for the following reasons:
The landscape is gorgeous! Dramatic cliffs, gorgeous sandy beaches, and the town is full of restaurants and bars with the most amazing view.
The town has loads to offer, from the classic seaside bits and bobs shops, to trendy surf shops, to restuarants, to tapas bars, to cocktail bars and sports bars, to kebab shops and brilliant fish and chip shops, to places that host escape rooms and interactive darts. It has something for everyone.
The beaches! Probably the best thing. Pretty much every ten minute walk you can find a new beach. They are all well serviced and offer something a little bit different dependent on where you go. If you want to surf and a full day out, Fistral is great and if you need to drive, parking is super easy too.
We also found an amazing Nordic Spa called Saunassa. Highly recommend. Wood fired saunas, cold ice plunges, and in the evening, wood fired hot tubs too. Arrive to unlimited free fruit tea, calming music. One of the highlights of my stay.
If you want to come to Cornwall, and are stuck on where to go. I would say Newquay would always offer a great time.

Newquay seems to be cleaner then when we have visited before, the shops are plentiful with a really good assortment of restaurants to choose from. Recommend the Maharajah for a gorgeous meal, just walking past it made us hungry (book early). Tolcarne beach is clean with all the facilities you would need and some decent surf for bodyboarding.

Just spent 4 nights here ,Keith and Roz are excellent hosts because we felt very welcome as soon as we arrived to this beautiful hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was gorgeous. The location of this hotel is exactly in the centre of everything . Being able to park on the premises was a big bonus. We can definately recommend this hotel to couples and families and know you will love it staying here. We will be returning to this hotel the next time we visit Newquay.
The hotel was really nice we stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time, the hotel is in a really good location about 5/10 minute walk from the town centre, the swimming pool was really nice. Parking on site as well so that was handy, I was checked in by Fiona I believe and she was lovely gave us all the information about the hotel and was really friendly and polite, we are looking to go to Newquay again so would try and use this hotel again if possible
Great location, excellent staff. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed both Newquay and trips outside. The hotel is located just few steps from the centre and beaches, there is a bus stop just opposite the hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool and breakfasts were delicious. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable.
View from the room was great, more than expected. The room was a good size and good to have a private bathroom also. Great location in the centre of Newquay and entertainment facilities were beyond expectation as well. If you want a cheap and reasonable place to stay, this is a good place to crash.
