We needed to find last minute accommodation before a morning Eurostar trip and this fitted the bill perfectly. It's only a few minutes walk from the station. The hotel is basic, no elevator, but clean. We found it a bit noisy (other guest noise and from outside). I chose this hotel because we have stayed here before, and it is in the location where we were attending an event. The staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is a short walk from Angel tube station and there are many bars, restaurants and interesting shops nearby.
Our room was a good size and very clean and the beds comfortable. The price was reasonable for the location and we would certainly stay here again.

The location was good. The room itself was basic but the bed was very comfortable. We stayed 2 nights but didn't get any fresh towels. On the 2nd night, a fire alarm woke us (false alarm), but no one apologized for the inconvenience the morning after. We asked for advice on the best way to get back to the airport at reception, but the response was unhelpful. There was a direct phone line to the taxi company, who firstly quoted an extortionate rate quoting traffic delays etc. when we challenged them on this and the fact that it was a bank holiday with low traffic they dropped their price by 20 pound but we took the train instead. I would have thought a hotel would have negotiated a fixed price for trips to the airport with a taxi supplier?

The accommodation was extremely unsatisfactory for the price we paid. We will not be returning there. Very unclean kitchen, not hoovered nor washed. There were dishes left in the dishwasher and on the draining board. The tv wouldn’t work and the living area was very untidy. I did not feel comfortable there! The bedroom, was the worst a towel was hanging on the bedroom door, the bedsheets had hair on them and the duvet was creased and the bed was unmade. Very unsatisfactory and disappointing.
