This excellent old building is situated right on the seafront in Arisaig.
David and Penny gave us a very warm welcome and showed us to our room. This was warm and cosy with delightful views across the lock.
The room was furnished with beautiful old furniture which gave it an antique charm.
The meals served were excellent. First starters I had Grandads secret recipe Gravadlax which was truly divine. Then I enjoyed a large piece of halibut in a creamy crab sauce whilst my wife had chicken in a creamy leek sauce. Both were beautifully prepared and both were so delicious we had to try the desserts. We were not disappointed. The sticky toffee pudding and the chocolate fudge were amazing.

The location was super with a full view of the harbour, the sea and Skye. We liked the top of the range equipment and facilities which were completely private for our stay. The shower was brilliant and the bed very comfortable. The black out blind was good and the bedroom was huge. Keep up the good work, we would return in a flash if we could.

The view to the sands of morar are amazing that’s where the good review ends . We got put in room 30 at the top of the building . The shower head on the shower would not stay high enough on the rail just kept sliding down 😳 The window in the room didn’t shut right so there was a draft constantly which made the room cold . Also when the wind got up there was a constant noise which kept my wife up all night . Over all hotel very tired and dirty not worth the money avoid .

The Morar hotel is located in a small picturesque village overlooking Morar bay and sands.
My wife and I had a two night stay over and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel staff when we used the dining room and bar facilities. All of the staff members looked after us impeccably, in particular Akram and Tuan worked hard to ensure our stay was memorable.
We would certainly recommend the Morar hotel for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Morar is very quiet which was perfect for us.
Morar is very quiet which was perfect for us. It is also very well placed for exploring the surrounding areas. The beach was perfect, just like in the photos! The hotel was excellent, a very good menu and tasty food. Welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff and nothing was too much trouble. We went to Mallaig, 3 miles away, and took a boat trip and got to see Minke whales! We also took the ferry to Skye, just 45 minutes away, and had a fantastic display by dolphins following the ferry!

Morar Hotel is a lovely refurbished hotel with great views from the restaurant and the bedroom we had. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the food was good. Excellent buffet choice at breakfast.
Mallaig was only a couple of miles away and there was a boat doing free sailings until the 31st March which we recommend. The dog also had a great holiday running around the beautiful beaches and in and out the water.

It's an out-of-the-way place but has its own rail station.
It's an out-of-the-way place but has its own rail station. The views from the sea view bedrooms are far-reaching and can be watched for hours.
There is a Thai food outlet just a few doors from the hotel but it is closed on Mon/Tue nights.
Better priced and quieter than Mallaig, a good holding point for the ferry.

Morar is a gorgeous village with views across the peninsula.
Morar is a gorgeous village with views across the peninsula. There is a train station which runs trains around twice per day. The village is small, a 5 minute drive to Mallaig and around 10 minutes to Arisaig.
The beaches are pristine with bright white sand.
So peaceful and relaxing!
This was our second time staying at the Morar Hotel and loved it so much last year we decided to visit again for the last leg of this years trip from the Isle of Skye camping. Staff are very welcoming and really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the view overlooking the silver sands was just incredible. Food was delicious and prices reasonable Would 100% recommend if visiting Morar, you need to spend a night here. Our dog absolutely loved it too! Will definitely be back next year!
The Sri Lankan management and family staff very sweet and accomodating. Dil looked after me during my 2 day stay and nothing was too much trouble for him or any if the family. Hotel and rooms a little dated but the service and location and beach made up for it, including view from sea view bedrooms. Lovely menu, food and service. Cullen Skint delicious.
Guests with children take there is a main road to free cross to get to beach.
Excellent, attentive staff... even allowed a little early checkin after a long drive up to Morar...
The rooms & dining facilities are of a high standard.... good menu both in bar & dining room... breakfast selection good as well...
Majority of staff are great - however Akrim - takes the time to check and make sure your stay is comfortable & that you have everything you need...
Light and airy. Beautifully clean and well provided with linen and kitchen essentials etc. Lovely couple of owners very pleasant and helpful. Quiet and peaceful situation, easy to walk to loch morar, and a short scenic car or bicycle ride to mallaig or arising . Would definitely recommend it to all our friends wanting relaxing sanctuary. Easy parking for all.
Ensuite twin room was comfortable and clean. Stunning views of the islands of Rum, Eigg etc and the white sands of Morar from our hotel room. Also lovely sitting out with a pre-dinner beer on the decking. The evening meals were pricey but excellent as was the superb breakfast. Staff extremely helpful. Plenty of parking. Station is across the road.
I could not get over the amazing view from my room - booking a sea view room was the best decision ever. The staff at check-in and at the restaurant was super friendly and the food I ordered for dinner was great. The hotel isn't anything fancy, but a great place for a stop on the west coast.
Friendly welcome, staff very helpful & polite.
Offered an upgrade room at no extra cost!
Room & ensuite bright, fresh & spacious.
Menues for dinner & breakfast had varied choises. We enjoyed both dinner & breakfast; expressed our compliments to waiter.
Gorgeous location on the coast of Scotland. We were able to walk to Loch Morar, and down to the beach. It was only a 5 minute drive to the ferry, to continue our journey on to the Isle of Skye. The lobby decor and dining room are very nice.
Good location across from Silver Sands of Morar. The single room was small but I knew it would be. Adequate space for a solo traveler. Good number of outlets and placed well in the room. Nice restaurant and staff. Good free parking.
Location was excellent. Views of the silver sands of Morar and the Isle of Skye were spectacular. Staff at the hotel were friendly, professional and attentive. Good standards in room and throughout the hotel.
Meals were pretty good, Dining room staff very nice and pleasant and help full and the Hotel great position over looking the sands and water with great sunset's over the lsle of Rum &Eigg
Staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable despite being short staffed. Hands off to the very pleasant restaurant manager who went above & beyond!
