Breakfast wasn't included but the staff, the Theakstons Beer and the entertainment (quiz) were first class. Despite the sub zero temperatures outside the accommodation was warm as toast.

The room was beautiful and clean. The staff was extremely friendly. When I arrived too late to eat dinner in their restaurant, they called another restaurant for me and arranged a reservation. They also upgraded my room due to availability without me asking. They were wonderful.

A lovely stay in the town of Moffat. The breakfast was really great! Only thing I wanted to note is they only accept bank transfer or cash. I luckily had cash. I must have missed it somewhere in the listing!

All in all it was the most pleasant and perfect stay and experience to us.We felt there was no bad bits about the place, but is was tastefully decorated and restored environment, going respectfully with the historical era of the building. Delicious food, well thought out everything about customers stay. Many thanks and warm recommendations.

Moffat is a lovely little town with many quirky shops and quite a few short local walks for the adventurers also there are longer walks for the more adventurist especially a 10 mile drive to the The Grey Mares Tail is well worth a visit but the road to it is very narrow in places

All the good things that other reviewers have said are true - this is a superb hotel. I don't want to just repeat what others have said but in summary - high standard of cleanliness, beautiful accommodation and outside space, delicious food, etc - but I'd like to focus on the staff.
We've stayed in hotels all over the world from the Hotel Jellyfish in Nepal ($1 a night) to the Waldorf Astoria in New York and I think what elevates a good hotel into a great hotel is the quality of the staff. At Moffat House the staff are exceptional. Every staff member we've met has been friendly and helpful. Even our dog has been fussed over by the staff. It all felt very welcoming.
We had a very pleasant, relaxing time time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Moffat House Hotel.
We absolutely loved this apartment, it was beautiful and comfortable and interesting! Such a quiet location and yet only minutes from the motorway. It was only a stopover for us on our way back from Scotland, but has definitely whetted our appetite to explore moffat and the area a little more at another time. We just had time to nip into Moffat for a coffee at one of its delightful coffee shops. A very pleasant little town , like something out of a novel.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Dinner menu is limited but lovely food and they were happy to provide something different from the menu if asked. Hotel is run by a lovely family and staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Hotel is in a lovely area, ideal for touring and sight seeing southern Scotland and the borders.
The breakfast was superb. With a choice of fruit or cereal to start with and yoghurt. Followed by a full cooked plate. Very tasty sausages. Toast with locally produced jam and good coffee. Really friendly and welcoming. Good stop off for travelling to and from Scotland. Moffat hills to be explored along with an interesting town centre.
We stayed the second time at Kirkview House and enjoyed it again very much. John is a wonderful host with a wide knowledge. We learnt a lot about Scotland and the spa-town of Moffat. The breakfast was delicous. The room itself is spacious and comfortable as is the bathroom. We can only recommend Kirkview House.
Stayed at this hotel lots over the years for family celebration. The change in the hotel is fantastic and the new design &. Luxurious finish is amazing. We stayed in room 5 and had the best sleep ever .room is amazing . Breakfast was excellent. All round I’d give it 5 stars .
Nice hotel in centre of Moffat. Our room was warm and comfortable and bathroom was fine.
We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent and good value, breakfast was also good.
Good safe off street parking. We would definitely return.
Great little gem right in the heart of Moffatt. Staff very friendly! HUGE breakfast. Multi generational family stayed in the quad suite - clean, big enough for 4 women w/ suitcases! It was on a lower level so minimal stairs for my mother.
Cancelled booking within hours via email while dtivining to them, notice on door & alternative accommodation had to be sought. Don't book this hotel, DO BOOK MOFFATT HOUSE, slightly pricier but fabulous & we'll worth the extra pennies xx
lovely staff, excellent food. Breakfast fantastic, amazing tasting sausages which were local. first time staying at this hotel but always eat there when visiting Moffat. would definitely stay there again. Nice double bedroom.
Great little place, very comfortable and well located just off the A74. We only stopped for a night, breaking up the journey to catch a ferry. We would definitely stop again. Lots of options for food/drink in Moffat too.
The best stop on our tour of Scotland. Great owners/staff, good food, excellent value for money. Beautiful grounds and outside dining/drinking area. Friendly pub. Would definitely stay there again.
located in an busy downtown ish area with a good amount of restaurants and bars around. we didn’t use the facilities or even the restaurant at the hotel, but the staff did seem nice.
Conveniently situated for an overnight break on a journey from Scotland to North Wales. Lovely property with high ceilings and some period features. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful building and surrounding area. Comfortable room with lovely views. Breakfast was high quality. Great location just minutes walk into Moffat high street.
