A pretty little town with some nice shops & great countryside all around.
It is a tiny town but cute. You can walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes but, if you visit all the shops & coffee shops it can take most of the day.
There are also some nice villages & good pubs in the area. It's easy to walk miles if you want.

I cannot fault this hotel at all from the quaint surroundings to the excellent food and helpful owners. Perfect venue for us as we were visiting our son at nearby Tidworth barracks. We also found it was convenient for Stonehenge.

An attractive country town with excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants (not to mention an extraordinary number of fashion boutiques!). Excellent base for exploring/walking in the Marlborough Downs, with its prehistoric sites such as Avebury, and Savernake Forest.

We missed our Marlborough Sunday Lunch due to M4 closure, however there were quite a few restaurants open, including Rick Stein and Ask Italian. What more could we ask !! The historic town is delightful with quality shops. We will return and stay longer in the future. .

Marlborough is a delightful town.
Marlborough is a delightful town. It has history and several excellent places to eat. I highly recommend Franklyn's Wine Bar, Pino's Italian and the Crown and Ball Pub to name just three.
The Lamb Inn was very comfortable with an attentive staff and a delicious , hearty breakfast.
Can't wait to return.

The Green Dragon is right in the centre of Marlborough, so location wise, it was perfect. Parking was available to us as we arrived on a Saturday evening and the town centre parking charges stop at 6pm and don't apply on Sunday. The room was clean and well prepared. As the pub is in a very old building the floor was far from level, which added to the charm. However, the stairs were narrow and steep - so would be a struggle for some.
There were no breakfast facilities, but that was not an issue for us.
Hotel was closed without notice due to power cut. Travelled 200 miles so sorely let down.
No compensation apart from use of car park for two nights!!
Only received phone call after arriving. Had booked hotel many weeks in advance!!
Please get your power outages sorted please!
Great location, lovely hotel, clean, warm, nice touch with coffee and tea in room. Did not use the restaurant as we were visiting friends, however the restaurant looked very inviting.
An exceedingly comfortable bed in a lovely clean room. The owner was pleasant and helpful and welcoming. A good base for visiting Marlborough and environs. Highly recommended.
