Boulters lock/monkey island and the new bridge to the other...
Boulters lock/monkey island and the new bridge to the other side of the river are musts to visit but the car park payment machine is dilapidated and wasn't taking cash nor my card. The town centre is good, the charity shops are well stocked with good quality items, banks are plentiful, parking isn't . Things will improve greatly when the Premier Inn opens because accommodation is otherwise appalling . Parking is always a problem . Busses and trains are readily available . White Waltham aerodrome is worth going to, there are a number of historic planes there . Ockwells Manor and Manor Lane are worth the drive . Cox Green school, the Barley Mow, and the fish and chip shop in Wessex way are a must, not necessarily in that order . What maidenhead needs is a reasonably priced multi storey car park in the town centre and a Tesco supermarket .

I only stayed one night, so didn't get to see much of Maidenhead. However, the length of my stay met my requirements and the position of the hotel - right on the riverside - could not have been better. Very pleasant indeed. Plenty of outdoor seating, with parasols, to sit alongside the water and enjoy a drink.
Easy access to Windsor, which was my ultimate destination the next day.

We have traveled a lot of the years and YOY was friendly and organised.
The only thing worth mentioning is the stairs are steep and it maybe a problem if someone have heavy cases or a knee disability. Overall, everything else was good. Plenty of everything and the owners try hard to make your stay a happy one.

Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk...
Boulters Mill and Ray Mill Island were fabulous to walk around, had a nice coffee in a lovely spot at the Piazza just a little further on from the Boathouse which we sat at but didn't order at as they were coming into lunch service and we just wanted coffee. Ate on a very warm summer's evening at Roux at Skindles Mill which was on our doorstep having stayed at the Thames Riveria Hotel. We sat on the terrace and ate a most delightful meal, finished up at the Hall & Woodhouse Boatyard at which we sat outside all evening as very warm. All in all a superb day with lots of lovely things to do and places to go. Evening before we had gone to the Bear near Maidenhead town and that was very pleasant and reasonable as you would expect from Wetherspoons.
Rooms are well decorated and the place has a lovely bar and restaurant area. Ate dinner and breakfast here and both meals were great and free parking.
The only criticism we had and unfortunately it resulted in a really bad nights sleep for us was the noise in our room. There was a constant loud humming noise from what sounded like the room next door (almost like a generator was running) all day and night so we really struggled to sleep. We were in room 9 so this needs to be looked at by the hotel
The Thames hotel is, unsurprisingly right by the Thames. We were walking the Thames towpath so it was a great location for us. Our room was large and had a balcony with two seats and a table overlooking the river which was lovely on a warm evening. Good value too.
The food in the restaurant was very good.
Location and plenty of Parking. Easy location for walks into the Maidenhead town centre or along the river thames. Located on the main A4 bath road for bus stops but back enough so you dont hear the traffic.
The location of the hotel is amazing as have stayed there numerous times. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The restaurant area is lovely with excellent views of the river.
