Alltybrain Farm Cottages and Farmhouse B&B, hotel in Lower Chapel

The property was set in a lovely and well-maintained garden, surrounded by hills with sheep. It was so peaceful and lovely. The host offered to cook breakfast earlier than usual to accommodate my schedule. That was lovely. The breakfast was very nice with homemade rhubarb, and honey from the host’s own beehives. The property is located 300m away from a local put which serves food. This was great for the evening as we did not have to use the car to dine.

There was 8 of us in total 4adults and 4children we asked if we could bring a friend and her two little girls but were told No the House was only for 8people. I looked at the web description and it says they sleep 12.5 people, we are so disappointed to read this after we came home.

    The absolutely beautiful, unspoilt views.

The absolutely beautiful, unspoilt views. The peace and quiet. The small village feel - yet wide open countryside. The warm Welsh welcome. The wildlife was incredible - especially if you like birds. We didn’t visit much of the surrounding area (the place we were in was all we needed), but it was absolutely stunning to drive through the area.

Not sure I can review Lower Chapel, as last village name seen was Battle! From Brecon I have travelled through Lower Chapel on my way to the mountain road for the Elan Valley and beyond, so Sunnyside Farm wasn't quite where I'd expected it to be. However, once found, happy days. All positive, but don't trust SatNav and traffic dependant, try to arrive in daylight.
