Probably the best b&b we have ever stayed at.

The hotel room we had was number 6, it was located next to the entrance I can only assume staff come in and out of. This made a noise every time someone buzzed in to gain entry. The outside light on the wall was on till early hours of the morning which shone through the blinds. The fan in the bathroom made a constant flapping noise which woke myself and my partner up a number of times- yes the door was closed. And the room itself self was not the moneys worth as it was tiny.
When dining, the prices were extremely overpriced for what was given, the chicken skewers had two small 2p size pieces on each with a total of 3 on the plate. And the crab pate was flavourless and lacked taste. When the chicken and leak pie arrived, it was pink meat. Which I think needs to be clear in the description as it says free range chicken which you expect to be the finest not all the meat, as I myself do not eat pink meat.
When I expressed this to the waiter he said oh sorry and then walked off (he was lovely but just handled that wrong). Another table also complained about their food aswell when we were there. I would just like to reiterate that I’m not a complainer at all, hence why didn’t complain on the night. However, the price we paid for a meal and stay was ridiculously high for what we received. I have also received emails to leave feedback.
When arriving for breakfast, my partner arrived there at 8.55am and myself at 9.05am. We ordered at 9.07am and our food didn’t arrive until 9.39 and we had to leave at 9.45am. Yes we could have arrived earlier but we have never been somewhere that the breakfast takes that long. The waitress apologised for the wait once delivering our food as they “got the eggs wrong”. But didn’t acknowledge us before that to say sorry about the wait, or we would of just said don’t worry we will have them regardless. Overall, the experience was super underwhelming. And it’s safe to say we won’t be returning.
