This property was perfect for our over night stay. We were there for a dancing competition. The host met us on arrival and talked us through everything, really lovely man. It had a great wee garden which we were able to sit in and enjoy with a wee drink. Room was clean and very comfortable.

Beautifully presented pod. Clean, tidy and wanted for nothing.
Bread, butter, jams, milk, and tea/coffee all waiting for us. Much appreciated after a long day.
Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

Whoever the owner is of this establishment is he should realise that a manager cannot run the place on his own even in quiet times. The managers approach to his job was perfect and his commitment to the customer was faultless. A person like him could find a job anywhere in the hotel trade these days as their are opportunities by the thousand everywhere.
Just shocked to see him serve, clean rooms, do the drinks, serve breakfast and do all the computer work and probably lots of things i could'nt see.
Seemed like exploitation to me

The Lochboisdale area was a good base within easy reach (by car) to beaches, the South Uist museum, cafes, the hotel for food (plus local co-op) and lots of walks on Eriskay in the South up to Berneray in the North.

Plenty of local beauty spots to soak up the scenery of South Uist, especially on the west coast as when looking out to sea and you realize the next land fall is Canada. Locals are very friendly and accommodating, the roads are well kept and in good order. Plenty of options for room and board where you will be treated like a local and offered local knowledge of things to do and experience.

The accommodation was clean and tidy.
The accommodation was clean and tidy. Rupert is very friendly and welcoming with great knowledge of the area and what to watch out for. He really makes a stay here feel relaxed and safe. Great breakfast and he kindly made a breakfast to go when we had to leave for an early morning ferry. Would thoroughly recommend.

It is an idyllic spot on the Hebridean Way with a daily ferry to Mallaig. The walking options vary from mile after mile of glorious white sandy beaches to some very rugged though not difficult mountains. There are also possibilities for excursions on small boats. There is a bus up or down the Uists every 2 hours making it more accessible for those without cars. There is a new marina at Lochboisdale. There is a good Co-Op at Daliburgh - 3 miles from Lochboisdale. If the weather is grim there are several cafes.

Nice to see island life.
Nice to see island life. We visited the museum, our lady of the isles statue, Flora macdonald birth place, the roundhouses and Hebridean craft shop. We also went for a walk along the beach. If I had more time I would have done a few more walks to get the sea air.
