We stayed in the Neuadd Arms for the Man Versus Horse Marathon and it was exactly what we were looking for. A no fuss hotel with excellent food and a great bar. None of your fancy 5 star stuff here. It is full of character and charm. The breakfeast was top class. Started with a bowl of fresh fruit, tea or coffee, a good old fashioned bowl of poridge with honey followed by a decent fry up. There was a great choice on offer. Served promptly with a smile. A great start to the day or cure the following morning!

Things I enjoyed about the property include:
• My room had lovely, fresh decoration with a cosy / snug vibe.
• A robe.
• Toiletries including muscle soak in the bathroom (I had forgotten my toothbrush but there was one available which was fab)
• A vast array of drink options available on a self-service trolley for all visitors outside the rooms.
• A HUGE AMAZING fresh fruit salad option at breakfast
• The calming sounds of the water feature in the garden which I could hear from my room.
• The hosts were so friendly and accommodating

The bed was very comfortable and the room was super quiet and clean. I had a lovely river view from my room. It was in the centre of town so convenient to the pub for dinner. The owners were very friendly and helped with quickest directions to return to London

Beautiful area.
Beautiful area.
Good if you are a walker, plenty of them in the area.
Not far from Brecon Beacons, stunning.
If you are not a walker there are towns to visit in the area.
Plus there is the spa.
No big shopping complexes close by, if you are looking for one.

Lovely quiet location. Stunning scenery and grounds.
Lovely quiet location. Stunning scenery and grounds. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Breakfast was fabulous but evening meal choices a little limited. A walk in shower was requested due to problems with arthritis but this was not forthcoming so disappointing as my elderly mother struggled with the bath. I had made a point of discussing this with the staff at the hotel before paying so a little frustrating.

There is nothing about this hotel and it's staff to dislike.
There is nothing about this hotel and it's staff to dislike. it is so peaceful there and the grounds are beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and during dinner they were attentive but not intrusive. The food is of a very high standard and beautifully presented. Plenty to eat at breakfast and a good choice of cooked food. Our suite, The Cambrian, was very spacious and comfortable with lovely views over the garden. Very nice spa quality toiletries in the bathroom. Spa facilities are excellent with a good sized swimming pool and a lovely hot tub on an open terrace. There is also a small gym, sauna and steam room.

Hotel is located in 50 acres of quietness the only noise you hear are birds and the river. The staff, service check in, and check out first class. We had a beautiful relaxing stay with afternoon tea and evening dinner the food was exceptional worth every penny. I must say the staff made our stay a night to remember nothing is to much trouble all you have to do is turn up and they take care of the rest will definitely return.
Beautiful location overlooking the lake. The hotel had a warm, friendly ambiance and beautiful finishing that encompassed a family run business. All staff were professional and engaging, nothing was too much trouble. The manager was particularly helpful and took the time to speak to the guests individually which I found was an great example of a well rounded hotel. Thank you for a lovely break.
Loved the special feel of this hotel. The staff seemed to really care about their clients. Everyone was efficient, professional and friendly which sadly is very unusual these days. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and had wonderful views. The restaurant meal was the best ever. The swimming pool was superb with lovely views and very clean.
The hotel is set in magnificent grounds where there are fabulous walks. The hotel is dog friendly, even providing a separate menu for our furry friends.
There is a spa, which looked good, but we didn’t have our swim wear so couldn’t try it out.
The food in the evening and at breakfast were excellent.
