The effort to make the dinner menu 'creative' involved too many unnecessary combinations, a few slightly more simple options (possibly with a bit more spices) would have been welcome. The hotel is attractive but the bedrooms are a bit tired; the design of the bathroom was not very practical.

Peaceful, beautiful location with views and in a remote place near two small towns. You have everything you need at the hotel and want to make the most of your stay. Can drive to places near by to explore.

Beautiful area.
Beautiful area.
Good if you are a walker, plenty of them in the area.
Not far from Brecon Beacons, stunning.
If you are not a walker there are towns to visit in the area.
Plus there is the spa.
No big shopping complexes close by, if you are looking for one.

The hotel is very relaxed and the staff were excellent. Spa treatments were very relaxing and the leisure facilities were just what I needed. I walked around the lake which was very nice. The aim of the break for me was to relax and that is exactly what I did.

The hotel was freshly renovated, the interior design was done with taste and at the same time homely, it gave the impression of a very cosy place, it also had a nice garden with a fireplace and swings next to the flowing stream of a small river, the staff was amiable and helpful. We will use the services of this hotel in the future
We stay in quite a few hotels for different reasons but this was the best night's sleep we have both had in a hotel for a very long time, possibly the best night ever! Very comfortable. Couldn't fault anything. Beautifully decorated and quiet in the countryside which we love.
Hôtel was perfect for relaxing, really peaceful and homely. Room was lovely and nicely furnished, location is really picturesque and the spa was fantastic. Food was delicious with some great vegetarian options at both breakfast and dinner
Enthusiastic and helpful, caring staff. Meals were a real treat, excellent fare and presented outstandingly. Nothing was too much troouble. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and spa.
