Beautiful grounds, excellent staff, lovely restaurants. Bedding was very comfortable and the room was nicely spacious.
Cottonmill Spa was also exceptional and would highly recommend the treatments.
The Olde Kings Arms is an attractively restored 16th century coaching Inn, which offers comfortable air conditioned accommodation and is dog friendly in all rooms.

The room was perfect. More amenities than we expected. Layout was perfect for a family. Kids had their own bedroom, parents closer to the locked door.
Pub downstairs was lovely, we had a quick drink before bed. Great train connections to London. Short drive to HP studios. The lady serving breakfast was really helpful with local knowledge and suggestions of where to take children in London.
We've booked again for next year.
Boasting sumptuous rooms with 42-inch plasma-screen TVs and Bose iPod docks, The Grove is set within 300 acres of beautiful parkland.

So much to love here! Surroundings/Location was amazing. Room (deluxe king) was so lovely, comfortable and really clean! Check in and out was really easy, quick and efficient.
Spa facilities were OK, nothing necessarily to shout about, but they were nice.
Food was amazing! We dined in the Glasshouse where they have their buffet. Not an ordinary buffet, it's around £80, but the choice is incredible, the quality was 10/10, flavours etc, just amazing. Staff were super attentive. Definitely didn't get £80's worth, but only because I was so full. But it was nice to be able to eat one plate of curry, then pasta then a roast! Great selection.
Breakfast was also a buffet and with a great selection once again. Unlike a lot of buffets, it was actually very clean and replenished constantly.
We booked as it was our 10 year anniversary, the hotel had some anniversary chocolates waiting in our room which was a lovely touch!
Overall, amazing stay, just looking at the diary to try and book 2 nights this time!

The food is very good, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very high quality. The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with the feeling of the old building kept as much as possible. Not too far from Harry Potter Studios. Just up from the canal which is a delightful walk.
Beautiful barn but a lot of little maintenance issues.
Beautiful barn but a lot of little maintenance issues. The drains don't clear correctly leaving smells and rubbish flushes back into the shower.
There are not enough essential utensils for cooking. Thorough cleaning (not just bed changeover) and maintenance checks need to be done before renting this property out again. (Shock on kitchen plug, under bed dirty, enough towels and clean towels for number of guests, clean fridge before guests arrive, heating system to work, bulbs in and working in lamps, fuses need to be in appliances and checked working, plug required in kitchen sink to wash up as previous one is broken). I did report the heating and fuse in coffee machine, we were happy to go out and get one and we purchased some blankets for my Mum. With a little bit of time spent on this property sorting out the few basic issues this would have had a much higher review from me.

Finding the property was difficult to start with, the taxi driver tried to call the property but they did not answer!!
I was shocked when we did finally find it, and then when I knocked on the door and was greeted by someone who said she was renting the bottom flat and tod me that my room was upstairs. I went to see the rooms which were NOT as described or shown on Booking.com!! What I saw was in awful condition and no reflection on the photos! I saw the bath tub which looked to be held together with duct tape!
I DID NOT stay at the property with my 12 year old daughter and left the property immediately!!
Trying to speak to the owner was extremely difficult, she would not answer my call and only wanted to TEXT or message on Booking!! And when she did respond to me she was so rude!
I am still trying to get my money back!!
