Staff and location.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. mix up on breakfast timings and how the literature was displayed. I turned up for breakfast at 09.28 assuming it was until 10.00am as displayed not very clearly in room literature. Was told it had finished and ends at 09.30, which seems a bit early, but the staff were great and still accommodated me and my son. So thank you.

We were self catering. Location was good, easy to get to other local villagers and only about 50 mins to coast.

Only stopped overnight for a function the following day at a neighboring village. Didn't see anything of Lenwade itself.
Ate in the restaurant at the White Pheasant, where we stayed. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would recommend it to others.

It is a big property but wheelchair friendly.
It is a big property but wheelchair friendly. There is an enormous off road car park with walks around the grounds. Secluded and quiet. All the staff we encountered were friendly and chatty. We would have loved to have eaten there looking at what was on offer but sadly were unable to.

If they do their planned refurbishment then it should be a great place to stay. As it is, no. The friendliness if the proprietor helped. Breakfast was a rip-off, and the eggs royale I had were horrible, slathered in sauce from a jar - could taste it all morning! They charge for tea or coffee with breakfast - a tiny pot. Some imagination in the kitchen and real cooking would be good. My next night at the King’s Head in North Elmham could teach thohow to do things.

Lenwade being fairly central within Norfolk was a great base for sight seeing. The roads are good and we’re quiet when we stayed. Lenwade had a small convenience store a couple of good food pubs and a petrol station.
Room was relatively spacious with, unusually, two easy chairs. Bed was comfortable with a nicely weighted duvet - not too hot or cold. Similarly, the room temperature was comfortable.
Had breakfast & dinner, both of which were good, in the restaurant - but it seems this is a separate business entity to the accommodation.
This hotel is a rather grand building which suffers from a lack of tlc,, which is a shame as it could be a very nice place to stay.
*ROOM 31* The setting of the hotel is fantastic ad the grounds are well kept, the hotel itself though could use some updating, although the room had all the amenities you need, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/bottles of water, hair dryer etc.
The staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was adequate, i had pancakes with bacon and syrup - delicious, My partner had a full English, again, very nice.
The hotel staff were excellent - but far too few (we saw one person on reception - and that when we arrived. He later turned up doing waitering, and bar duties at the same time). Meals, breakfast orange juice, tea, coffee al had to be paid when delivered - there was no single bill at the end of the stay.
Dinner exceptional when the chef was on duty which was never clear!
Hotel looked Beautiful all lit up at night. The grounds were lovely plenty of parking also. The bar/restaurant was very welcoming with a log fire lit. The young barman/waiter was a perfect host (only staff member we saw). Our room was clean to a high standard and plenty of information in the folder.
This hotel only recently changed hands and is being renovated, having said that the important things are in place: clean, comfortable and lovely staff , nice home cooked meals and very generous portions. Excellent value.
