Breakfast had a great choice from the menu and from the continental selection with fresh fruit and clearly labelled cereals.
The dinner choices were outstanding. Everything I ate was fresh and well balanced. The fish choices and desserts were a particular favourite.
The room was well decorated with a calming colour scheme and details considered such as the perfect curtain length.
The outside space included various places to sit in the shade or sun, on the patio surrounded by plants or on the lawn with a view of the countryside. The plants brought nature to the rooms and meant I could watch birds and insects from my window.
The rooms are away from the pub so piece can be found even on a busy night. Yet as it is such a short walk it won’t be a struggle for those who need step free access or little exertion.

Had a fantastic stay, everything was super clean, even the bedding and towels smelt lovely and fresh.
The bed was very comfortable and slept the whole night, was lovely to get away from everyday hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature with the added bonus of a hot tub just outside the door, they seem to have gone that little extra mile from the twinkling lights outside round the trees to the comfort of home inside, lovely couple and very friendly, breakfast was brought to our door in the morning and everything was delicious! I’d definitely recommend to anyone and definitely be back, I also want to try out there fantastic looking tea room and the delicious home made cakes :-)

The village has one pub but otherwise does not have a lot to offer. However there are some very good country walks and it is idealy located for getting around Constable country and visiting Colchester and Lavenham.
The Spa was brilliant the reserving of beds excellent plenty of room. Spa treatment excellent.
The hotel staff were all very nice always said hello .
We had a lovely lady who served us afternoon tea she was just lovely. Afternoon tea amazing value my friend commented better than the Ritz.
Sports bar food again couldn't fault staff again excellent couldn't go out their way to help. We wanted to decide our bill four ways and sorted it out.
Beds very comfortable, good tea and coffee.
Ideal countryside location & peaceful setting overlooking the golf course. Staff were very friendly and lunch served in the bar was excellent.
Dinner in the restaurant was very good, although the a la carte menu was limited & food could have been a bit warmer.
For a group of friends who are staying, the hotel can accommodate 3 adults in one room, with normal sized beds, making the stay excellent value for money.
The grounds were lovely, the hotel looked nice. On face value it was great.
Although we weren't able to make much use of them with kids and having commitments in the daytime, the gym looked decent and the pool area had a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
Also a big fan of the apple and mango soaps and moisturisers 😂
The hotel itself was very nice, cleans and modern. some service staff in the main restaurant were very nice and provided a great service. Food in the main restaurant was really nice.
