Lovely clear directions to the property and into the loft, which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owner's garden was very pretty and there was plenty of information about the nearby town and things to do/places to eat nearby.

Great place to stay and full of so much history. We loved the atmosphere of the pub and the design of the rooms we had. We rented four rooms and they were all together across the street rom the main building. The had a charm and comfort we very much appreciated. The diner was amazing! The pies were incredible. We loved staying here.

We recently stayed at this charming hotel conveniently situated within a 20-minute walk to the town center and a short 20-minute drive from the beautiful town of Bath.
The room was nicely appointed with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom, all kept very clean. The decor had a lovely style, enhancing the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the place.
The garden was a delightful retreat—well-maintained and great for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment outside.
Breakfast each morning was tasty, with a good variety of options to start the day right. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a very pleasant overall experience.
Overall, this hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and convenience, ideal for exploring the nearby sights or just enjoying some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
We booked from a Fri afternoon to Sunday morning. Lacock is a part of the world I could happily spend weeks in at a time! We visited the aqua sana spa at center parcs Longleat, this was lovely but very busy on a Saturday and was difficult to get a spot in some of the experience rooms. Coffee there was awful 😂 we went to Homewood near Bath for dinner, this was ok at best and is a bit overhyped in my opinion. Lacock village was lovely, we ate at the George which was really good, the sign of the angel which was gorgeous! Lacock Abbey and grounds are stunning, the village is also full of lovely little independent shops and there is a wonderful bakery. So much to see and do, allow 3/4 days to make the most of the visit

Adorable little town, super nice to see how kind everyone was, it has that small town trusting community vibes (a lot of crafty people left their homemade Christmas goods outside their door with details of their PayPal or boxes for money. Awesome!)
Cute shops, lovely scenery. Worth visiting even if for just one day

You need to at least a day and a night to make the best of Lacock which is a wonderful place to visit. We have been twice now but would like to go again.

It is a lovely village that deserve wandering around at leisure. It is a period drama delight, especially if you like Jane Austen etc. The abbey was a good visit, all the more so if you are already a National Trust member. Plus, it rewards a little exploration with lovely surprises such as the ford.
We went in June and the village was resplendent with roses and climbing hydrangeas in bloom.

Beautiful National Trust village.
Beautiful National Trust village. Checked in and ate in the pub restaurant (lovely food, helpful staff) before heading into Bath for a concert.
In the morning we were offered a selection of breakfast options (not just Continental). Again staff very helpful, but not intrusive.
A lively pub in the evening, clearly very popular, but nothing too much trouble. Serve excellent food, a varied menu. Accommodation was clean and spacious, and quiet once pub closed. The pub welcomes visitors of all ages, human and canine. We were asked if we wanted to move to a quieter table as there were a lot of children in a large family group next to us, and we were celebrating an anniversary. We were fine, but it was thoughtful to be asked.
Very convenient for exploring the area and such a beautiful setting.
We are planning our second visit already!
