The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair, hotel in Isleornsay

Located in Ardvasar, 22 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh, The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

This old, yet nicely updated Inn is in a lovely waterside location with beautiful mountain views. The staff were incredibly accommodating to a medical emergency I had before arrival that once resolved, required a very late check in. Service at a full Scottish to made to order breakfast was lovely.

House of Juniper, hotel in Isleornsay

Located in Broadford, 8.5 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh, House of Juniper has accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a bar.

Our room was modern and had a fireplace with a glowing “fire” that made the room cosy. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the modern rain shower fixture as well as the handheld shower head were great. The view from our room on the 3rd floor was beautiful. Everything was very clean and the staff attentive to all our requests. Their new restaurant, The Sprig, served the best Eggs Benedict I have eaten, and dinner was very good. Wait staff were friendly and the manager very helpful.

This is a fairly remote location with spectacular scenery, both at the hotel and close by. Apart from nature (and the great food and drink in the hotel) there is not a lot to do. So relaxing is part of the power of the place. Wander around and watch the odd fisherman leave the quay and go out to their fishing boat. Watch the water and sky change at a moments notice. We were there in February so the whole area was relatively quiet, touring the island was easy from there.

Fresh air, views outstanding, people very friendly. Peacefulness. We did struggle a little finding somewhere to eat after 7pm as we are not great fish eaters or meat eaters, apart from that I would love to go back again with my hiking shoes.

Visited the area for Beo Music Festival and had just the best weekend of music and craic and the locals are fine folk indeed. Lovely views across sound of sleat and weather was cracking, but bring midgie spray :)

The staff could not do enough to help. Andreas was at the desk to welcome as even when we arrived very late. He was very welcoming and assured us that we can still have dinner even after 9pm. The dinner was beyond our expectations. We have been to many Michelin restaurants, and we genuinely think this restaurant provides a meal well up there with some very good restaurants. The hotel is in a dream location so rounded by beautiful gardens. Is very peaceful and relaxing.

All would be forgiven but not at £560 a night - dental string & shaving packaging blowing about outside front door to lodge - wallpaper peeling in bedroom - electrical noise at night in bathroom led us to search for fuse box and switch off fuse to bathroom lights in aid of good nights sleep - bare breezeblocks for landscape edging etc location lovely staff lovely but terrible value compared w other hotels in area for similar prices.

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We loved every bit of it, from the service on down to the food. We appreciated the ambiance, especially at dinner time. The music was serene and fitting for the room. I think one of our favorites about the property was the setting~~> the dock and the lake and the peace and quiet. Our room was quaint and had a homey feel from the past.

We had a lovely time at Duisdale House! The hotel is gorgeous, our room was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was excellent! Honestly, the food at Duisdale House was the highlight of our stay. Dinner was pricey, but absolutely worth every penny. The raspberry soufflé was drop-dead delicious.
