Kevin checked us in and explained the ins and outs of the room. He was very friendly. He even called and made us a reservation for dinner down the hill—Emily’s Byre—one of our best meals of the trip. I didn’t catch his partner’s name, but the fresh croissants she made in the morning were amazing!

The surrounding was great. The lodge was bigger than we expected. Everything was clean. Nice kitchen.
The host was very friendly. We loved the highlands. Ben Nevis 40 minutes, Isle of Skye 75 minutes.
At our arrival there was a little basket with candy and coffee.
It is in a great spot to explore the highlands. We would have liked to see Inverness and Culloden, but we had to weigh that against seeing Skye. In retrospect, I think Culloden would have been a better choice. The area around Invergarry on the way to Skye was gorgeous and we enjoyed it more than Skye itself and would have liked to see more.
Be sure to get groceries for your stay in one of the larger towns like Fort William or Inverness or towards Skye, because there was not a convenient store near Invergarry that we could find. The one that Google Maps says is a supermarket in Fort Augustus at the bottom of Loch Ness was not a supermarket and had very little for meal prep, although it did have a small selection of milk, bread, and wine. It was a very touristy area near Loch Ness, but Invergarry was more authentic.
We saw several deer and rabbits on our walks, and the plants and countryside reminded us of parts of Oregon and Washington State.

Lots of extras were very welcome when we had been travelling all day. Went into Fort Augustus for meal at night . Plenty choice of eateries. Would love to stay in one of the self catering units for a longer holiday. Loved the peace and quiet of area.

Excellent road connections
Beautiful scenery.
We had travelled from a week up in the Cairngorms and Invergarry provided a very pleasant contrast of Lochs and glens

Parking was just outside the rooms.
Parking was just outside the rooms. Great generously breakfast which was nicely presented.
Rooms clean and cosy although the couch could have been bigger if the room was larger.
Bed comfortable except for the need to be conscious about the side attic shaped ceiling when getting out of the bed. Stairs needed a railing on the upper section for safety purposes.

We loved visiting Urquhart Castle with an amazing view of Lochness and Eilean Donan Castle, where you can see Isle of Skye. A walk to the waterfall of Ben Nevis is a must have. View points along the road are highly recommended.
Invergarry Hotel is a perfect stopping point between the Isle of Skye and Edinburgh. The bedroom was very comfortable and everything was beautifully clean. A lovely tray with coffees and teas was provided. We were really impressed with our delicious dinner and the service was lovely. Breakfast was also tasty and the portion sizes were perfect. I loved that breakfast was in another room to dinner. Parking is easily available on site, which is always something I look for in a hotel.
Flat superbly well equipped, in excellent condition, with Netflix in the offering a welcome surprise! Overall a very generous offering (including items for breakfast/cooking/snacks etc) and in my opinion unbeatable in the wider Fort William area in terms of what you get for what it costs. The quiet location is perfect for anyone travelling by car and just a few minutes from multiple options for restaurants such as in Fort Augustus. A perfect highlands retreat for a family of four.
A beautiful castle hotel on an idyllic estate in the heart of the Highlands. Our four poster bedroom was spacious and luxurious. The staff were so kind and professional. We loved the option to have light lunches and afternoon tea/coffee served in the lounge, so we could relax and enjoy the views of the estate grounds from the comfort of the hotel. Dinner was truly delicious. I do not have enough good things to say. It was the perfect, peaceful, scenic place for our vacation.
Wonderful, warm, Highland welcome. Pristine, comfortable accommodation. Fabulous setting. 22 miles of single track road to get there via forest, moor, mountain, Lochs, rivers....incredible scenery and wildlife. A must for all nature lovers searching for somewhere off the beaten track. Best breakfast I have ever had. Can't wait to return. Dog friendly. Marion and Matthew were fantastic hosts.
Amazing place! The room was large and super clean. A lot of small things to help travellers: USB port for charging, UK power adapters, restaurants suggestions. The breakfast was superb! You have a choice of breakfast menus to choose from the night before. Pity we had to continue with the trip and couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended place to stay.
The hotel has a lovely friendly atmosphere, which comes mainly from the happy ,helpful staff. Delicious food both in the restaurant and the breakfast room.
Although we had a small double it was a lovely size room full of character with a big bathroom and a great view of the river and hills beyond.
The staff was very kind and accommodating. The property was in a very peaceful and quiet location, and the history of the manor house is so interesting. Beds were comfortable, very nice linens. We enjoyed having dinner in the restaurant, excellent Indian cuisine, but other options also available.
Absolutely fantastic dinner menu, top class ingredients, should be Michelin starred. Understated but attentive waiting staff.
Breakfast was equally high standard, freshly cooked and served seated at tables.
Pre drinks available in beautiful library or lounge
Perfect location to exploring various parts of Scotland. Amazing house, warm, fabulous size bath and shower, realllly comfortable beds , excellent equipped kitchen and beautiful quiet grounds. Lovely coffee and cake in the hotel nearby also <3
Superb location, a great welcome and the accommodation is very clean and beautifully appointed. Made to feel very welcome and the donkey and horses were great to feed.
I’d highly recommend this property and will be back. Thank you
Lovely comfortable lodge up in Invergarry. Great location around 25 miles north of Fort William. The grandkids loved the ponies and donkey in field next door .the lodge has everything needed for a weeks break .
Breakfast was great. Many options to choose from and large portions. Bar/dining room was charming and food was tasty.
Historic hotel with lots of charm. Room was comfortable and had a modern bathroom.
Super position. Hosts were lovely and room was spotless with everything needed for an overnight stay. Recommended restaurant was also really nice with tasty Indian fusion menu. Highly recommended.
Accommodations, host, and location were all amazing. Beautiful lodge and beautiful setting. Only good things to say about our stay. We would definitely stay here again :)
Lovely room. Really friendly staff. Very good menu with incredibly tasty and authentic North Indian food. Plenty of other alternatives on menu as well.
