Perfect easy location (a stone's throw from the marvellous Poetry Pharmacy!), very cosy room and surprisingly quiet (the storm winds were louder than the town hall clock!). Really comfy bed. Nice touch to find a bottle of fresh milk in a little fridge in the room; with kettle & teabags so you can make yourself a cuppa. Breakfast was extra, but very reasonable and most delicious - with excellent coffee. Host sent information for entrance keypad, all really smooth and easy. All round a very lovely place to stay.

Hyssington is a tiny rural village which is perfectly situated to use as base to explore the beautiful Shropshire hills as well as mid Wales. Within 30 mins drive there are beautiful walks, numerous medieval castles, and historical sites such as Offa's Dyke and a wonderful Iron Age Hill Fort. If you're looking for the bright lights of a bustling city or town, this is not the destination for you. If you like to relax to the sound of birdsong and bleating sheep, with the occasional stunning sunset, it could be!
