Excellent location for exploring the local area. The room was spacious, well furnished. The staff were really excellent and the breakfast good. The hotel decor was better than we had expected from past experience of it. Despite having a party on, we had been put far enough away from it for there to be no issue with noise.

Hindhead is my birth place. I love it!
Hindhead is my birth place. I love it! the National Trust have done wonders. the whole area around the Punchbowl is absolutely beautiful, there are numerous walks and lovely places to sit. every season is special. the miracle of the A3 being taken away to a tunnel is just amazing. the walk to Gibbet Hill is lovely. an easy walk that takes us to over 900 feet above sea level. the views are amazing. on a good day one can see London. the Exmoor ponies have made such a difference, parts of the area look like the New Forest, another favourite place.
apart from the Hotel restaraunt there are no eateries in the evening which is a shame, but Haslemere and Grayshott are not too far away.

Friendly welcoming and hardworking staff.
Friendly welcoming and hardworking staff. Restaurant was packed and obviously popular. We only had breakfast which we thought below average. Very little choice.
Accommodation is very dated. Lots of furniture and fittings in our room broken. Needs huge investment on the accommodation side. Everything felt and smelt damp.
Very good location and excellent customer service so deserves to do better.

This is an area I know from childhood in the 1960s and although the views across the National Trust land remain with only slight encroachment from development, the access via the official National Trust car park is not attractive and the main walks are of course busy with dog walkers and cyclists.
In my personal judgement, the area has become more of a pleasant amenity for the fortunate people who live in the area and I would not rank it as a tourist attraction.

Only saw a small part as was mostly hiking, but there was a lovely pub in the next village called the fox and flamingo.
The national trust park of devil's punchbowl and surrounding heaths, commons and forests are beautiful.
Plenty of walks for all abilities.
Rooms ready on time, spotless clean, beds really comfy and immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food really good both in the evening and breakfast. I agree with earlier comments, the hotel is looking a little tired and there is a musty smell when you go into the bedroom at first but the bedrooms have tea/coffee facilities, there is a bath and shower (again tired) but the water is piping hot and there was free Wi-Fi for the whole of our stay.Ample car parking spaces.
Stayed here after a nearby wedding. The hotel is a "does what it says on the tin" kind of place. Its reasonably priced, the rooms are a good proportion and functional. The decor is dated but you're getting a large room with ensuite for a very good price in comparison to other places nearby. It's no frills but sometimes the hotel is just where you get your head down.
We needed a convenient hotel for a local 1 night stay. The room had a new bed which was very comfortable. We did not have breakfast. The hotel needs a lot of investment - they are starting in the downstairs bar and eating areas. These looked fine but there is a lot to do. Ideal for a short stay and at £77 a night for a double room you pay for what you get.
This is a great spot for walking on Hindhead Common and The Devils Punchbowl. Our dog was made to feel welcome, the property was spotless and the kitchen well stocked with little extra goodies like milk, crumpets and even Easter Eggs. Jackie was lovely too. We used the washing machine as this was at the end of a trip away and all worked well.

In a great location opposite the Devil's Punchbowl and very quiet at night. Easy to get to as near to A3. Clean sheets and towels and bathroom was clean. Shower was good. Reasonable price compared to other hotels in area. Nicely refurbished reception , bar and restaurant areas.
Great location, spacious room, parking, nearby chippy if you just wanted something different from hotel food, nice staff, nice breakfast & a reasonable price for 2 nights...we've stayed before so knew what to expect.
I really enjoy this place. The staff was super kind, room comfortable and big, food tasteful and yummy and I loved the fact there is a big park closer to the hotel good for a walk or a run
Location on the Punchbowl - a walker's paradise. The hotel has lots of older world charm while supplying modern amenities. Large, comfortable rooms with big windows that open.
