This is a totally different experience, the attention to detail is really good. It’s in a very rural location with lovely views, there is local pubs only a few minutes away that do delicious meals and it’s local to amenities.

Cottage was well decorated and well equipped. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size and very boutique like. Kitchen was well equipped and big. Hosts had left milk and rocky road, coffee and tea.

Hinderwell is quiet and there’s not much happening on a Monday. Local shops like a Butchers, pubs and fish shop are close by.
Great place to access places like Whitby, Runswick Bay and Saltburn by the sea.
We didn’t eat anywhere in Hinderwell but Andy our host recommended the Badger and Hounds.

We loved our accommodation the Badger Set and have just realised how good walks are around there. So we definitely must come back.
As we unfortunately had only 2 nights, we couldn't walk around as much as we wanted, and we had food outside of Hinderwell. But the pub next to our accommodation looked welcoming.....

Hinderwell is a lovely village close to coast and countryside. It has some nice facilities including an excellent butcher, tea room and 2 pubs serving food. There are varied activities at the village hall and the Hub which visitors are welcome to join in, for example yoga. We felt welcomed into the local community and will definitely visit again.
The only issue was that some facilities don't open on Mondays and/or Tuesdays.

Definitely a great place for scenic walks either over cliff tops or nearby moors. Not much in the way of eating places or restaurants, so either be prepared to be self sufficient or travel. Wi-fi wasn't 100% in all rooms and caused frustration with the kids.

The cottage is located on a bigger complex of caravans and hotel rooms, but it felt private. The village of Hinderwell is small and beautiful, with easy access to all of the lovely towns and villages along the coast. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the cottage comfortably fit our family of 10, plus our dog, which we loved!
The view is lovely. It was great to eat all our meals looking at the sea. Beautiful walk to Runswick Bay to swim, eat delicious ice cream and buy brilliant bread. Delightful tea room and art show in the old school at Hinderwell.
Beds comfortable and attractive bedrooms. Kitchen functional. Lots of hot water
What a find! A fantastic place to stay with a warm and welcoming host. Some really nice little touches that made the stay feel special. Would absolutely recommend this place if staying in Hinderwell
