Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, hotel in Hildersham

Hinxton Hall Conference Center sits alongside the river Cam and is set within 125 acres of parkland, wetland and formal gardens in the village of Hinxton, just outside the market town of Saffron...

Property immaculate, quiet and serene. The grounds are like being on the most beautiful campus you will ever see. The wild life and the gardens stunning. It was a sheer slice of heaven. The hall is an old estate converted into a genome conference center. They have a lounge where you can get food for a small menu or a cafeteria with some really good choices only open until 3 I believe. The breakfast buffet has everything for a proper English breakfast. Since they are a conference center they are use to catering which is a plus in the food they prepare. A 6 minute walk away is a pub and down road a McDonald’s and a small m&s simple. Not much else around but only a 15 min drive from Cambridge. While it’s not a proper hotel it’s worth a try especially if your hitting an air show at Duxford (6min) I am in love with this place and look forward to taking my tea into an empty lounge in the old manor house for some quiet reflection. I really didn’t want to leave. Ps. The flowers and trees smelll HEAVENLY!!

A family of four stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bed apartment directly above the pub. + Superb quality of decor, fixtures and fittings, very comfortable and practical space to stay in + A very 'cosy' pub with beautiful decor and the log burners going which was nice + Extremely approachable, attentive and sharp staff + Very high quality food and beers + One of the few places we've stayed that we'd definitely stay at again! + Beautiful, quiet village locale with a lovely walk up to the 'three hills'

    No WiFi.

No WiFi. There is absolutely nothing to do in the area if you don’t have a car so an alternative form of entertainment would be appreciated. They mentioned a streaming service was available it wasn’t. There were no instructions left for any of the appliances so it was trial and error. There were no bin bags in the bins, no instructions on where to leave the rubbish. There were inadequate power points in the kitchenette. You had to unplug something behind an appliance to use anything. The smell of damp was horrendous. The bin facilities consisted of a waste paper basket. Useless when you are cooking meals. Was given instructions last minute for entering the property. Felt like i was a criminal as they didn’t let me know how to get into the property till I was there. Didn’t receive instructions on how to leave the property until I was 100 miles away. Would definitely not stay there again.

We had our pet dog traveling together.

We had our pet dog traveling together. This property accepted a dog, even in the restaurant. And, we really liked the style of the cottage. It was well renovated and felt very comfortable. We spent such a nice holiday stay in this property.
