The room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. The staff were lovely, especially a young lady with dark hair and glasses.

Beautiful, charming and characterful in lovely surroundings, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and were able to cater for our needs ( gluten and dairy allergies) without hesitation- outstanding service.

Nice and quiet place with a canal adjacent. Room was spacious and facing the canal. Nice to have access to a small kitchen with a fridge. Appreciated the tea and coffee facilities in the room. Owner was extremely nice to wait and allow us to check in later.

The location of the property was ideal for where we needed to be the following day. There was a lovely local pub that did great food, we also got 20% off our bill for staying at this property. We weren't booked in for breakfast but we ended up having a light bite, all freshly cooked and delicious.

We ate at a busy but friendly restaurant called 'The Hart of Hartford'. We went for a drink at the historic 'Red Lion pub' (bed and breakfast) which had two friendly hosts and was dog friendly. There is a lovely golf course which we visited as a venue for our friends wedding. Hartford would be a good base for travelling to Chester and Northwich.
