A great experience for a few nights, but a week was probably a bit too long. Judging by the entries in the guest book, most people stay for 2-3 nights, which seems reasonable. I'm 6' 4" and struggled with the small size of the accommodation (especially the "life support capsule" sized shower!), but it wasn't too bad overall. In sunny weather it would have been great and we could have spent more time outside. Having two beds was helpful - if there'd been only one I think my wife would have killed me after the first night! The kitchen area was well equipped, considering its small size. We particularly liked the induction hob. The ventilation needs to be better, though. Skye in October is very wet, so opening the door to ventilate the place wasn't really an option. As a result it was hard to dry out wet clothes. Harlosh itself is isolated and sparsely equipped, though it's a short drive to Dunvegan, which has more facilities.

We were only in Harlosh to rest up after our 8 hour drive from home, before we started the NC500 so didn't sightsee as such but found driving round Skye very challenging and breathtakingly scenic. It was the accommodation "Harlosh Hideaways" that attracted us to Harlosh and we weren't disappointed. We had a wonderful modern pod to stay in facing straight onto the Loch.

We had our Electric bikes with us and if the weather was better (very windy, cold and heavy showers) it would have been more enjoyable. lots of nice easy cycling available and roads not too busy. the unit is very nice but would benefit from a small kitchen area, sink and hob would make this a great accommodation
