The hotel is beautifully located near the Cathedral and next to the river, which the garden overlooks. Ideal for a pre dinner drink watching the ducks. Our room was large and very well equipped with comfortable bed and excellent bath/shower room. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice and while there are no evening meals, a host of restaurants are within an easy walk. The staff were all helpful and friendly. It really is a lovely place to stay.

We were impressed with the welcome and the coffee and cake.The room was lovely and spacious and the breakfast was superb. Lovely fresh fruit to start with and a lovely full English. Plenty of toast and a great choice of marmalade and jams.

Breakfast in a bag was great, seemed a shame not to use the lovely dining room but understandable why some-post Covid changes have remained. Great 4 poster bed and lovely garden/grounds, amazing property too.
